Yes!!!! If you check out the discussion threads about the green star and money donations over in Number's you'll see suggestions of badges of all kind including classic stats to be placed under the avatars!

Kewl, I hope that comes to be. Thanks.

Cordially,

Our March 3, 2005 is bogus too. Big outage around that time and it went from July ?, 2004 to this. Also with that outage about 50+ WUs completed but pending disappeared too. That would've got a lot of crunchers panties in a bunch, but, what the hell. Was I gonna buy something with those credits? Nah...I don't think so. In other words, BFD, who cares?

My date is accurate. I also read the account transfer instructions from Classic to Boinc.

Who here has the lowest/oldest one? :-)

Mine is getting close to 7 years old. A few others here have the exact same date I think. Fuzzy, for example.

16 May 1999 is my correct date. Was just shy of 5k credits before switching over to BOINC.

Message 503419 - Posted: 15 Jan 2007, 15:46:02 UTC - in response to Message 218335.

My signup date is real; 6 Jul 1999, but I actually got two dates because of the time difference I guess. It was the 6th in Berkeley, but already the 7th here. In some stats I could see myself joined on the 7th... (It seems to have been corrected though, because I can't find it anymore.)

Proganatus, welcome back after a bit of a break in posting!

As far as I recall the February, March and April 1999 dates were a "sort of" beta of SETI Classic.

I seem to recall that SETI Classic actually went public around mid May 1999. So dates from then should be real.

This would mean my 29th September 1999 registration date is real!

Hm, I started quite a while ago, too (classic) - but had a long break in between. My old mailadress (which I have canceled years ago) was not recognized so I simply created a new account.

The date appeared at the time of the second update of the classic WU-count in the BOINC accounts. First all classicers were from April 3, 1999, then they changed something, so all classicers got their original date back, but suddenly we only-BOINCers were stuck with this date. My real join date is October 24, 2004, I've written it down somewhere, as otherwise it would have been lost.

It's a real big class, the class of April 3, 1999 ;)

Your posting account is definitely a new one, BOINC-only, as there are no classic WUs listed. Your old Classic account is probably one of these.

You can still attach that old account to your new account if you know the email address of that account.

See the HOME page on the right..there is a link there that shows you how to do it...
