I was just wondering if someone could post instructions on how to install an optimizer correctly and simple. I do not really care if i can see visuals or not...although i do like them. But the site that has the optimizers is a little too much for me to understand. the last time I tried to install it I had to reinstall all BOINC software. Anyone that can help would be appreciated.

Well then... is it this page? One does not need to understand everything standing in the manual on top of the page, just follow the indicated steps.

In fact it's not an installation as we are used to, but merely copying some files from one place to another.

ad step 3:
As client download YAOSCW-0-r8.1.zip.
You can alternatively take YAOSCW-0-r7.zip. (Some people claim that it is a bit faster. I didn't notice a great difference when I tried once).
I didn't try seti-plainvanilla.zip or boinc-445-mmx.zip which would be possible as well.

ad step 5: It clears up as you unzip the downloaded zip-file.
