I've tried the new account key to update to BOINC but get a message "missing or bad parameter mode". I reentered the account key and finally cut and pasted it from the email, to no avail. What do I do now? Help, lost in cyberspace! Spacecadetrojo

a) You're here already, so you are registered.
b) Your Classic credits have been converted to your new account (press YOUR ACCOUNT and check that)
c) Classic units don't update in Real Time in Boinc. The last snapshot was made on the 15th of March 2005. The next will be done after Classic has closed down. So at that time your Classic credits will be updated. Classic credits will not be converted to Boinc credits, you start from zero credits when crunching Seti through Boinc.
d) You need to attach to the Seti project in the Boinc Manager. Look here how to do that.

Jord, it seems to me that there is some issue about this behaviour of the system in the last days. Could be good to bring it to the devs...
I haven't found out just what it is, but help calls like spacedetroio's have multilplied...

I've sent off an email earlier today to the devs (David and Matt) for them to look into this. Then again, I did try to reproduce it and cannot. I log in all the time, be it with my password or with my account key. We'll see. :)

Although, seeing this post and seeing the profile errors thread, it may have to do with new security on the site. In that case people need patience.
