Fuzzy, thank you for your initiative to make this rememberence thread. I could say a lot of what I feel, and I do feel a lot about this, but I don't want to turn this into a political thread today. This is a day for rememberence. We will never forget!

May those that died on September 11, 2001 in New York City, Washington DC and Shanksville, PA be remembered with honor and never forgotten.

I think 9/11 is now fated to be a beautiful, sunny day for the rest of eternity. I remember going to work that morning in 2001 with the windows down, loving that first feel of Autumn in the air ... and it's been the same lovely weather every year since.

We were watching a 9/11 special the other night, and Michael asked me if I would have gone into the WTC Towers. I said no, I'm not a firefighter, I'm a paramedic -- I stage outside and wait for the patients to come to me (or be brought to me). But yeah ... I would have probably been waaaay too close to the buildings when they collapsed, had I been a medic on that particular scene. The attack and senseless loss of people and our everyday heroes still make me so very, very sad, and so very, very angry.

My thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones ... and with those who lost their lives and perhaps had no one to mourn their passing.

But I know NeoAmsterdam would have started a thread like this, if he had been around, so since he has left, I did it. Somewhere I have the feeling that he should have started this thread. I'm not sure it's him who posted the above, as it can be anybody, as he posted his accountkeys. :'-(

So I'm only the one who took the initiative.

And we, all over the world, feel with all the people who lost their dear ones in the attacks! And yes, all victims of the four flights should be remembered, but as the twin towers were the symbol of the attack, as we all can see the New York skyline altered forever, I found the pic with the lights symbolizing them.

At work, in our directors office, is a big picture of the twin towers hanging on the wall. I see that picture and remember what I was doing when the attack occured. I remember the aftermath. I remember the cleanup. I remember the dedications. I remember the people, the ones lost, the rescuers lost, the survivors of those lost.... Damn, now I got tears in my eyes.... >:'-(

Since George Herbert Walker Bush, 41st President of the United States, secured sanctions against Iraq allegedly for invading Kuwait, upwards of a million Iraqis have died. As in Southeast Asia, as in Indonesia, and in countless other places, so in Iraq, America leaves a genocidal wake wherever her imperial ship sails.

No, America is not responding to the attacks of 9/11. She has been (further) hijacked by an evil cabal literally Hell bent on personal profit at the expense of innocents both here and abroad.

Our grief doesn't do honor to those who've died for the crimes of the cabal. Our diligence in dragging them to justice, does.

On September 10th 2001 the world was many different countries. On September 11th all people of the world became New Yorkers.

Now we have all but forgotten a promise made. We shadow it with rhetoric and acquisitions. We lay blame where none should be. Remember it was we New Yorkers that rallied behind one phrase.

"We shall make no distinction between the terrorists and those that harbor and support them"

To my friends and those innocent spirits I did not know who died that day .. I hope your spirits are at peace!!
