Good thing. IMO, 4.45 is a LOT better than 4.43. Also, bring on the new dev versions make my computer 'splode. <a href="http://tinyurl.com/9hemz"><img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-1441.jpg"></img></a> |

I recently reverted back to 4.25. I will be a while before I go to the "recommended" version again. |

I recently reverted back to 4.25. I will be a while before I go to the "recommended" version again. Reverted back to 4.27 (with BoincView 1.05) for me and runs fine (like the 4.25). Do you want to get banned for 31 years and your account & credits deleted at a Boinc project ? Predictor@home is your best choice. |

I think that I will have to go back to good old 4.25 where all projects worked fine and the loading/unloading of units was ok. The new 4.45 has been running for the last 27 hours and the only units that has unloaded into the host are from Einstein and Climate. All the other projects remain at zero units downloaded, of course including SETI. 09/06/2005 22:18:14|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi 09/06/2005 22:18:14|SETI@home|Requesting 0 seconds of work, returning 0 results 09/06/2005 22:23:33|SETI@home|Resetting project 09/06/2005 22:23:33||request_reschedule_cpus: exit_tasks 09/06/2005 22:23:33||request_reschedule_cpus: project op These are the last messages and since that hour (22:23:33) the host has not tried to reconnect with SETI. Patience is a virtue. |

Continueing with my previous message, the 4.45 CC has now over 38 hours working and it continues not functioning for SETI. There are several people whom are complaining on the same subject. Maybe there still is some kind of bug going around. For over 12 hours, host has not even tried to conect to SETI - Shall I just try to reinstall project? However Einstein keeps working fine as well as Climate. (???) weird. Patience is a virtue. |

What the **** is happening here??? SETI is/was down, so you can't get new work. That's no problem with CC4.45. I have 4.45 running on all of my tree hosts and it is working perfect for me. It respects my cache size and my resource share. <img border="0" src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=64&trans=off" /> |

Lucky you!! I continue having problems and the main page from SETI says: June 9, 2005 We are back online after recovering from a file server crash and since then, today june 10th no units, no response, no nothing! Patience is a virtue. |

Lucky you!! I continue having problems and the main page from SETI says: June 9, 2005 We are back online after recovering from a file server crash and since then, today june 10th no units, no response, no nothing! The problem is that there are over 120,000 of us ALL trying to get thru! The pipeline will be clogged for a couple of days. You should have gotten units to crunch yesterday or last nite and the units will start returning soon. Here is a site showing the cable companies connection to Berkeley: http://fragment1.berkeley.edu/~cricket/inr-668-interfaces.html you can see by the top left screen that the rate is above 60 m bits per second. Normally it hovers a little below that. |

BOINC 4.45 works just fine apart from the status column under projects. 4.43 and 4.44 would show 'no new work' for each project if that had been selected. It just makes it easier for me to see which projects should be asking for work. Ian Coole |

If you used 4.43 previously, go into client_state.xml and reset all debt (short term and long term) to 0. Then update all of your projects. Now, with your cache filled and if you have a reasonable cache/processor speed you shouldn't have to go into panic mode uselessly because 4.45 has fixed that. <a href="http://tinyurl.com/9hemz"><img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-1441.jpg"></img></a> |

Those are some interesting resource shares, ric. <a href="http://tinyurl.com/9hemz"><img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-1441.jpg"></img></a> |

Just for info: Yes, there has been an outage lately from which they returned - and as usual it takes time for things to get back to normal. This time there wasn't enough time for that before the next outage - from the front page: "Project News June 10, 2005 Outage Notice. We will be having an outage at 18:00 UTC today to upgrade the OS on the upload/download file server." |

Those are some interesting resource shares, ric. @ilyanep yes indeed. With earlier boinc client version, a share below 1% was enough to get 1-2 WUs, while all other project where not able to deliver work. With the more recent releases it still works, just on HT (or mp systems?) not getting more than 1 (have readen this should be solven with 4.45??) It looks like it's important, in term 'getting work', to play with the shares and finding a working combination - still to allowing the client(s) to be ready when the favorite project(s) are offering work |
