Finished 3 days cache and received another days cache of WUs (still WUs right?)this morning. Question one:Why does my computer dial up every time a WU is completed but the WU remains in work box till the last one in cache completes. Question two:How do I cear the message box of last cached work load so it's not so confusing to read. Question three:I'd like to join a team but don't know which one.Are their team profiles? |

Unless you have checked the Disable BOINC Network Access option in the File menu, BOINC will dial up and upload the workunit each time it has finished crunching it. Then there's the seperate settings you need to set in your General preferences about what to do with Confirm before connecting to Internet? and Disconnect when done? options. > Question two:How do I cear the message box of last cached work load so it's > not so confusing to read. On the Windows GUI version, you go to the Projects tab on the window, rightclick on Seti@home and choose Update. This will report all units that were finished to the server. I can't help you on Question three. For as far as I know this hasn't been enabled yet. ---------------------- Jordâ„¢ |

This option may not work for everyone - it does not for me. It connects without warning or asking. > > Question three:Are their team profiles? Most of the teams are carried over from SETI classic. The old profiles at http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/team_list.html should be helpful. |

> Question three:I'd like to join a team but don't know which one.Are their team > profiles? It's kind of hard to join teams right now since there is no way of really searching through them yet, BUT - I notice you're from Canada. You can join our team - SETI@Canada. Try this address to check us out: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/team_display.php?teamid=112264 |
