Sorry about the last post. This link will not make you join. I am new and interested in the foundation of a team and therefore decided to start one of my own. I would appreciate all suggestions and participation.

Hi.

I'm not a member of any team but the things that I would look for if I was interested in joining a team are:

What makes that team interesting - What is the focus of its interests? For example: Is its interest\s related to location, hobbies, sports, arts, style of humour, serious interests, politics, values???...

All this will tell me whether any social (internet or real world) contact and involvement would suit me. Sometimes you can get this from the name but 'Read Ant Army' doesn't say much even if in itself it is an interesting name.

In a way it doesn't matter if all these change over time and the focus in the team shifts but it does matter that you 'sell' yourself to start with.

Basically I would be looking for a bit of 'blurb' that grabs my interest.

As to you being a 'hairy madman'.. That's probably only interesting to other 'Hairy Madmen' or even 'Hairy Mad Women' :o))

Kind of reminds me of 'Bum Fights' which before I saw the video I thought was some kind of punk ritual where rear ends were banged very hard together in some kind of mad dance frenzy..

Are they all psychopathic dentists in the 'final front ear' .. :)

It's like a United Nations insane asylum, you have all types
in various states of bewilderment and affectation of bizarre
behavior. Wanna come over and play?

Sorry, no dentists, but Laughingboy is a wannabe veternarian.

A quiet boy though I am I'd actually be very honoured to be in the company of toothless mascots, Spit the depressed Dog, the hansom and cumly lass Mrs (Stiffy) Miggins and the Final Front-Ear gang.

If that's an invite I'd like to join you!

So warned I am... As long as I don't have to partake of her muffins I am sure I will be safe ;]

Sounds like some pagan moot ritual just after the sweat lodge and before the cold bucket of water

Other than the obvious privilege of paticipating in interlarded exchanges of snappy repartee, what goals or purpose does coadunation serve in this endeavor?

Just wondering....

Uh huh, .....but I'm not in the least ochlophobic.....

My question remains. What, other than the evident immunity enjoyed by those who hurl insults, is there to becoming a member of the varying factions? Is there to be pie served to victorious 'team'?

captim, ....I'm an unabashed word freak, I'm fascinated with the degree to which descriptive terminology can help one avoid misunderstanding the written word. To that end, I"m constantly delving into the holy manuscripts for clues to which words were the ones that fell out of usage that are responsible for the great misunderstandings of today.

That study also comes in handy when you want to revile another in polite company. If, in that case, I were to describe one's manner as to be caprophagous, I venture to guess not an eyebrow would be raised. On the other hand, had I used the more commonly accepted phraseology....... some may have taken offense other than just the intended target.
