It's lucky that I did go to bed early last night as our "Biblical deluge" and gale force winds woke me up at 3.30am and now at just after 7am here both have just started to eased off. Anyhow I might go and have another coffee. Cheers. |

The standards bits come later when the equipment gets fitted... (There's the good paper standards gook, and then there's the standard of fitting.) We've got one grumpy contractor trying to quote standards and regs excuses because he dreams he somehow has a better understanding than the Architect. Despite that contractor being totally unaware of everything else going on around his one part... The engineer directing him doesn't do detail, or human communication either... ... So, today I'm now genned up on another set of details for how some bits of equipment and structure fit so that we get the job done as required rather than as something a "little more convenient for that one contractor". All good and interesting but that's another lunchbreak lost on 'technical research'... See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

There is a coinbase scam at work out there that purports to have completed a transaction of $536.99 in my paypal account, which is false, I forwarded it to phishing@paypal.com, coinbase or whoever they are just want information like passwords and names as it called me by my email address, I did not give my info. I thought everyone here ought to be forewarned. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

11-1-2022 at 1:04 PM - PDT WOW!!!!! :-) Posting after having had my first shower since surgery. OMG!!!!! It felt AWESOME to be clean, again. :-) I have a shower stool, but did NOT need to use it, today. I was able to stand and move freely about in the downstairs shower. I took a nice, leisurely, long hot shower to get rid of that post surgical stench and body odors that collected since the 24th. (Sorry for being gross....) I plan on my next shower in a couple days. Trying to conserve water here in CA. Thank God for water and the ability to shower. :-) TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Ah, the joys of waiting in for a delivery..... First thing in the morning (about 07:00) a text says "Due between 08:45 and 09:15. Great that means I'm going to be able to get out and do shopping etc. 08:50 - Text "delayed, we will text when we know when, but expect a delay of 30 to 90 minutes". Oh well, I'm not going to be able to do my shopping first thing in the morning. 10:00 - Text "delay increased, now expect delay of between 30 and 300 minutes". That's five hours after ~09:15.... Sit around. 16:00 knock on door, delivery. It's raining good and proper so shopping will have to wait for the rain to stop, or tomorrow morning, which ever comes sooner. 16:30 - Text "Expect your delivery in the next 60 minutes". But it's already happened..... 17:00 - Text "Your delivery was accepted at <address>, timed 16:01". I know, I opened the door and took the parcel off the guy. That last bit is a good check that the abused underpaid over-rushed hassled delivery robot/agent/student/person/human has half-randomly actually hit the labelled target. ... Rather than having been intercepted by someone loitering in the rain scavenging that latest juicy book on knitting patterns... ;-) Good to join the dots. Shame about the wasted day in wait... Well I just finished in my brewroom so I'll go downstairs and give Robbie the Robot a bit of breakfast to take the chill out of the air down there. Then I'll go storage tub diving in search of some laptops that need their HDD's replaced. Cheers. |
