All under a chilly clear sky resplendent with piercingly bright stars and a blinding silver white crescent moon.

The early morning may yet be even more picturesque with an added shimmer of frost...

Enjoy!

We still have 2 weeks to go until the chance of frosts here drop right off. It's now a sunny 18C outside and out of the gale that's blowing here, but being in it feels like 12C.

If it wasn't for that wind I'd be out planing a little bit more of the drainage end of my trench so that it fully drains, but my back is just coming good after mowing the other day and that wind would soon have me locked up.

Anyhow LLB is fast and I still have a couple of things to do yet. ;-)

Cheers.

Winning on a calm Sunday morning, but that wind is waiting out there somewhere.

Cheers.

What?! It's already Sunday??

But... but...

The sun is nowhere to be seen from here!

Maybe a mere reflection off the moon?...

And it's gone rather chilly. Pity the poor souls freezing their feet off standing out in the Royal Queues in London...

We got off to a 7C (felt like 5C) start here (19C is expected) and we're already up to a sunny 13C (feels like 8C), but that wind is picking up speed again.

Anyhow I'm just enjoying my last coffee break for the morning before burning a few CD's for a mate (he should be here now), then it'll be LLB time at the newly refurbished and open top pub.

Cheers.

Well it was disappointing turning up at the top pub only to find that only meals, coffee and tea is all that's being served ATM because the chippies havn't finished their job yet. :-(

So LLB again happened here in the shed with a few buddies anyway. ;-)

During my other job today I was doing a search through several containers looking for more CDR's (which I found) and came across several laptops which got left here with dead HDD's (their BIOS batteries are likely dead now as well) in them that the owners didn't want to stump up for SSD's at the time to fix (they were clumsy people/kids who killed HDD's really quickly and I got sick of replacing them so it was SSD's or nothing for them) so I might order 2 or 3 SSD's next month and have a play with them (240GB SSD's are just $50aud now and not $150 as back then, but a HDD was $70 back then as well). I know that there are 2 quad core jobs in that lot along with a few dual cores which would be faster than the single core Celeron from 15yrs back that I've been using to show people how Linux works on (and the CD's were burnt off of today), but it's showing it's age now under Linux Mint Cinnamon 20 & now 21. :-)

Anyhow it's almost time to catch up with the weekly agricultural news down under with another beer or 2 while deciding what to have to eat today.

Cheers.

Hey! Good cool stuff with the Linux.

... As compared to a certain other OS, I've got more antivax in me (x2 jabs and +2 boosters) than any of my Linux systems (zero antivirus) that continue to Just-Simply-Work. Fantastic.

Enjoy!

Winning on a frosty Monday morning in the highlands down under.

It's a frosty 0C (felt like -2C) here while 18C is expected.

Cheers.

Watching a bit of television. The Queen is in the Abbey and the funeral procession has placed the Royal on the pedestal.

Unfortunately I have a round trip planed.
Watching the Queen’s last one way trip on television. That is a massive engagement in planed manpower just to get a person to the end of the line.

Much of the planning was done a long time ago. There are several levels of planning involved, and regular reviews to make sure the overall plan will work. So very little to do in the days between HM Queen Elisabeth II death and the funeral (in the UK at least). Many of the VIP guests would have a contingency plan in place that could be slipped into action with very little effort (I guess the US State Department would have something in prepared given her age and known health).
I would also expect countries like the US to have "death in service" plans to cover their leaders.

Good, (late), morning. :-)

Saw the Queen's funeral today. I had a slight bout of insomnia, again. Was up at 3:45 AM - PDT,
so, downstairs I went, turned the family room TV on, and got to see the funeral procession.

It was a well done service. Again, R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth II. :'-( You will be missed.

[UPDATE:]

I've been preparing for knee surgery on my left knee. I've been doing pre-surgery Physical
Therapy. I've been assigned 'aqua-therapy'. So, I've been doing exercises in a small pool at a
local Physical Therapy specialty place.

My Pre-Op Appt with my Primary Care Doctor is tomorrow morning. I have to fast tonight
for blood work to be done, tomorrow. The results will be forwarded to my Orthopedic Surgeon.

Surgery for the left knee is October 24th. The right knee follows some time in February of 2023.

Wish me luck. (Both knees will be 'Total Knee Replacement' surgeries.)
