In abandoning the Open Skies Treaty, the Trump Administration is not just renouncing an arms control agreement that was seen as essential for transparency during the Cold War years, but he is also ditching an agreement that many experts believe still retains huge benefits for the US.
So much for National Security Donald

Well it looks like v2.0 is pushing for another vector to spread his love throughout the states.

Behind Trump’s demand to reopen churches: Slipping poll numbers and alarm inside his campaign.

It seems that he's not impressed enough with the spread caused by his "spread the virus" fools.

But things are getting thornier within the party.

Sessions claps back at Trump: ‘You’re damn fortunate’ I recused from Russia probe.

Is ... Biden really the best Democrat to defeat Trump?

If so, the Democrat Party is living in a politically suicidal universe and Trump is correctly laughing all the way.
We in the UK have just road-tested that storyboard. After three years of sounding him out, we failed to elect Jeremy Corbyn by a large majority, and got Boris Johnson instead. 'nuff said.

Remember "Bill" Clinton. Who became President after receiving only 43% of the nationwide popular vote in 1992.

This isn't applicable, as Bill Clinton did win the popular vote with 44,909,889 to George H.W. Bush's 39,104,550. It wasn't half or more of all voters, but the issue with the Electoral College isn't this, but simply that the candidate with the most votes doesn't necessarily win.

The last three presidents to lose the popular vote but still win the presidency through the Electoral College are Donald Trump (2016), George W. Bush (2000) and then we have to go all the way back to Benjamin Harrison (1888).

Majority of popular vote can be meaningless in the USA.
It can be meaningless in the UK, too.

You count the number of Electoral College votes: we count the number of MPs (Members of Parliament) elected.

Same difference.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Rep., Rep., and Rep.?

Gerrymandering wins!

The Conservative Party in the UK wanted to redraw the boundaries while they were in power, too, but Brexit got in the way.

And the Electoral College ensures that vote by a Wyoming voter carries about 4x the weight of a New York voter. I wonder which party each is more likely to prefer... hmm.

As with Britain, we're really no better with our British-derived parliamentary system. Our current prime minister, Justin Trudeau (Liberal), in 2019 lost the popular vote 6,018,728 to Andrew Scheer's (Conservative) 6,239,227. But because he won more seats in parliament, he's now the prime minister and Scheer resigned as leader of the official opposition. I would prefer that MPs and the Prime Minister were voted for separately so that simply the candidate with the most votes won.

What is really disappointing is to see such a Hobson's choice for a President...

Has the system in the USA really descended into a corrupted choice of which one of wealthy senile puppets?

Not descended into, it has been a corrupt game of wealth and power since the 3rd Administration. All politics, by the very nature of the game, is a corrupt system. No different in any country.

The game of politics rewards the winner not the moral.

Wealth = Power = More Power.

People(citizens), who want(ed) to break that cycle were and are the base of support for Trump, whether he is the correct figurehead or not is moot. Both sides of entrenchment in DC (Democrat and GOP) view him as the enemy of their entrenchment and their created legislative fiefdoms.

There is a growing support for term limits and when(if) the sheeple finally begin to think for themselves they will realize that by simply voting against ALL incumbent candidates term limits are a reality in fact if not law.

Will the real v2.0 stand up?

A tale of two Trumps.

While instead of being in church v2.0 was on the golf course.

Trump spends Memorial Day weekend golfing and insulting female politicians.

And now v2.0 has come up with a new fake hoax.

Trump sees a ‘rigged election’ ahead. Democrats see a constitutional crisis in the making.

Well they do reckon that old Donny is delusional.
