I have been using the double space bar tap to make a "period" for quite a while on my iPad. I've NOT had this happen until quite recently. You mention that your iPad does this; is this an Apple thing, then??? I don't recall this happening on Prometheus, my Win 7 Pro System. [EDIT:] I've just now noticed that this is happening while on my Mac Pro 5,1 System. TL [EDIT 2:] IT IS indeed an Apple thing!!!!! I found how to turn this "annoyance" off! System Preferences ---> Keyboard ---> Text ---> Uncheck "Add period with double-space" DONE! :-) TL And here I thought I was not typing fast enough here on Win 7. Glad that's cleared up.
