The reason why the elections are always on a Tuesday in the US is because that you cannot have it on a Sunday since everybody is at church that day. Then Monday doesn't work either because you voters have to travel very far to the polling station. Like people in Montana for instance. They have to saddle their horses first and then riding through the prairie to get there...
