I am now 100% sure that in 100 years Trump will be an answer to at least one trivia question about the POTUS.

...her exact words were, "you have to have a public position and a private position" or something like that...

What makes you think I didn't take notice?

What makes you think Hilary was my preferred candidate from the democratic party?
<snipped HUGE img url of Bernie-- MK>

Bernie a Democrat? ROFL... That is worse than calling Trump a Republican. Both recently joined their respective parties, but Bernie joined the Democrat party barely in time to campaign as a Democrat. There were lawsuits about it between him and the Democrat National Committee. Prior to 2015, Bernie was an independent and a self-described socialist.

That said, if Bernie had gotten the Democrat nomination, it would have been a VERY interesting election. A DINO vs. a RINO. Both populists campaigning against the 'Establishment', using VERY similar campaign rhetoric (the 'Working Class' is getting screwed by the Establishment).

Bernie was a socialist/independant that switched to the Democrats in 2015 to run for President.
Trump started out a Democrat, then switched parties a few times (Reform Party -- he left them after the start of his Presidential campaign because some of the Reform Party were quite... Racist, then a couple of stints in the Republican Party.

Both were not loyal members of the Party they campaigned for President in during the 2015/2016 campaign. Neither could be considered in any way, shape, form, or fashion to be part of their Parties' 'Establishment'.

If the Democrats had seen which way the political winds were blowing, and ditched the Establishment candidate (H.R. Clinton) in favor of the non-Establishment B. Sanders, likely it would be President Sanders now. A large enough number of Democrats voted for the non-Establishment Republican candidate Trump to give him the election. A Sanders candidacy would have kept those voters Democrat, and likely drawn enough Republican anti-Trump support to win by somewhat of a landslide. The Democrat Party's leadership 'Trumped' themselves by continuing to support Establishment Hillary.

As I have said before, if I HAD to make a choice between Trump, Clinton, and Sanders... If I HAD to choose one of those three... I would rank them in order of preference:
1. Sanders -- left wing populist,
2. Trump -- centrist populist,
3. Clinton -- Establishment centrist...

Now then, right vs. left...

Right and Left may be polar opposites, but morally and politically they are equivalent.

Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016.

Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power.

Nice post MK.

And yes I am aware Bernie was not any more of a Democrat than I am for example. They are the party that overall represents my beliefs more than any of the others, but I am not a democrat outside of being registered as one and typically voting within their ticket. Sanders was my dream candidate, and as such he was also not an establishment democrat. But that is the ticket closest to his beliefs so that's where he ran this time around.

[also yes sorry about that url- it's ginormous]

If you are registered as a Democrat, doesn't that mean you ARE a Democrat (at least until you change your registration)?

In Texas, we do NOT 'register' as a member of any political party. We vote in whichever Primary (but only one of them per Election) we wish to.

The Democrat Party's leadership 'Trumped' themselves by continuing to support Establishment Hillary.

The Democratic Party leadership may have favored Clinton, though that wasn't the reason she became that Party's candidate, it was by winning more primaries than Sanders.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

True story. She did indeed kick his butt in the primaries. But I am curious if he'd have won the nomination even if he had won the primaries?

Is this for real?
https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump
Christians in the Middle-East have been executed in large numbers. We cannot allow this horror to continue!
...Senators should focus their energies on ISIS, illegal immigration and border security instead of always looking to start World War III.
Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world - a horrible mess!
Somebody with aptitude and conviction should buy the FAKE NEWS and failing @nytimes and either run it correctly or let it fold with dignity!

On what planet does Trump live at?

God Bless America.

Statement Regarding Recent Executive Order Concerning Extreme Vetting
“America is a proud nation of immigrants and we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border. America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave.
We will keep it free and keep it safe, as the media knows, but refuses to say. My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months. The seven countries named in the Executive Order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror. To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting.
This is not about religion - this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order. We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days.
I have tremendous feeling for the people involved in this horrific humanitarian crisis in Syria. My first priority will always be to protect and serve our country, but as President I will find ways to help all those who are suffering.”

If I could vote in any primary I wanted at will, I'd be registered as independent (unaffiliated). But in NY you can only vote in a primary within your registered party, which is why I am a registered dem.

I know... but it does tend to discourage some rather fun political games that are possible in so-called 'open primary' states such as Texas.

Such as: 'Organized effort by one party to vote in the other party's primary for a total loser so that your party's candidate is a shoe-in to win the General Election.'... Loads of fun!

Very true, Sarge... That COULD be the reason we ended up with Trump... ROFL.

I mean, after all... If it goes both ways, BOTH parties nominate total GOOBERHEADS... Which is pretty much what we got... Trump & Clinton...

One way or the other, though... It is the Democrat Party's fault that Trump got Elected.

No, it was the fault of the people that voted for "45", the Democratic Party had nothing to do with that. Your comment is akin to blaming the victim.

Why do you think 2016 would have been different to 2008? Clinton entered 2008 as the Democratic Party leadership favorite, they changed sides when it became obvious that Obama was going to win the primaries.

Pure political cow feces.

Bush 43 was told by the intel community saddam had WMD--he and everybody believed them.

Bush 43 tried to ignite the fire of a liberal democracy in Iraq.

Then, all I heard was "Bush lied, people died."

Then obama ANNOUNCED when he'd be pulling US troops out of Iraq and the place went silent. As soon as the last American left, ISIS EXPLODED. Then he sent in some "advisers" which helped them a little but the place remains a mess today. Anybody who spent some time in Iraq is now wondering why they were sent there. And the family members of fallen solders are asking even more difficult questions for which they are not getting any answers.

Now, you show this picture of a (supposed) veteran holding up a sign and a kid standing next to him saying he fought for freedom for all.

Pure political cow feces.

Can't have it both ways.

Seems you can if you are very selective in your recollections of what happened.

Stuff not found on InfoWars.

The UN weapons inspectors in Iraq said there were no WMD there; this was countered by Blair's "dodgy dossier" and some evidence that Bush had (some of it manufactured and discredited, like the Uranium cake purchase), and there was the circus of Powell's UN speech where he was given fabricated evidence to help justify the US aggression. Sure, Saddam was nasty and you'd have trouble finding anybody that is not happy he's gone, but WMD was thought to be BS by many before the war, and the "intel community" was, to some degree, giving Bush 43 the answers he wanted - or have you forgotten how quickly after 9/11 Rumsfeld and others started saying "Iraq" and "9/11" in consecutive sentences?

ISIS exploded in Syria, and then invaded north western Iraq from their bases there after the withdrawal of US troops on a calendar created under Bush "43" (he signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement, committing to a full withdrawal of US troops by the end of 2011) and executed by Obama.

Oh, that's right, facts don't matter.
