. . Nope, no new work here so far

I've picked up some (none for the GPUs, still empty), but then it went back to HTTP errors with the occasional "Couldn't connect to server" error thrown in, just for something different.

And that's in between the web site going down, then coming back and being very random in it's response times when it is up. Posting in the forum can take a couple of seconds, or a couple of minutes.

EDIT- interestingly my system that isn't having Scheduler issues (other than 2 "Couldn't connect to server" ones) is also the one that doesn't require the application settings to be flipped back & forth to continue getting work.

. . There is something seriously wrong in the place ... oh well hopefully they will find it and fix it sometime in the near future.

Stephen

Who needs a good text editor?!
I'll use nano, and if nano is not available then I'll use vim

. . Since I have no idea what either of them is I'll take your word for it, but the script relies on the find/replace ALL function to work. So I hope those apps have a good one of those.

Doing fairly good getting work, except I can't seem to get any GPU work for my big hitter. Hate to see 3 GPUs sitting idle.
Splitting seems robust at about 130k/hr, but with demand at 175k/hr it's a losing proposition until demand eases off a bit.

Took a bit longer than usual, but all caches are full here, and it looks like the splitters are still doing their thing.
Demand's down to 100k or so, so I'd imagine we're out of the woods for now and a surplus will begin to build.

wouldn't you just LOVE to hear the discussion going on re:Breakthrough Listen?

it's got to be a software issue ... hardware is normally easier to diagnose and fix ...

EdF

BTW ... I still have a mini TECO running on my pc.

. . CP/M was an old OS earlier than MS-Dos and the Commodore 128 ran it as well as its native mode. It had an edit app which was CP/M edit.

RTS down to zero. 38K creation rate. Not enough to keep up with demand. Hit and miss whether you get any work when requested. Still don't have full caches on all machines. Maybe by the end of day. Hope.

LMAO, that's it. My father had some gizmo about 1981, and went away for work. When he returned I was playing blackjack, and he was annoyed that I got something working that he didn't. Naturally I did so by reading the instructions to loading the tape.... LMAO
