Oh. Em. Gee.

We have a sewer problem at work. Downstairs in the same room where I work. The whole room stinks and the halls around it. We have closed for the day and moved into the room next door.

You know what they say about stink on S***. Are they going to disinfect?

I had to move some stuff back to my area about half an hour before leaving. There was nobody downstairs, the lights were off, and a fan was running. Still stunk, maybe not as bad or maybe I'd gotten used to it.

Today is the county teacher's institute day and I'm going to a different building.

GROSS! ‘Urine Test’ Reveals up to 75 Litres Of Pee In Public Swimming Pools

“The test works by measuring the concentration of an artificial sweetener, acesulfame potassium (ACE), that is commonly found in processed food and passes through the body unaltered,” explained The Guardian in a report. “After tracking the levels of the sweetener in two public pools in Canada over a three-week period they calculated that swimmers had released 75 litres of urine – enough to fill a medium-sized dustbin – into a large pool (about 830,000 litres, one-third the size of an Olympic pool) and 30 litres into a second pool, around half the size of the first.”

The study also revealed that hot-tubs were even more likely than pools to contain higher concentrations of urine.

Now I am wondering if there are space dinosaurs.
I would say that is just as likely as other forms of life.
That would really be something to see, but of course they would most likely not resemble earth dinosaurs.

It will be very interesting to see how life evolves on several different planets. Interesting to see if plants, animals, fungus are on other worlds or if it takes an unrecognizable path.

Water from space. What if a passing ufo flushes the zero-g toilet as it is passing us?

Remember the fun and games at the Oroville Dam and it's spillway?
Some very interesting pictures showing the extent of the damage to the spillway. Not only that, but the pool at the bottom of the spillway has been filled in by all the debris washed down (estimated at 1.7 million cubic yards), and that in turn has stopped the operation of the hydro power station (the tail race is blocked), which then further reduces the ability to lower the dams water level, as well as taking out over 800MW of power capacity from the network.
Oroville dam update.

I suggest watching the video in full screen mode to get a better appreciation of the scale of the damage caused by the spillway failure.
And towards the end of the still shots are some of the Auxiliary spillway erosion damage. The only way that can be of future use is if the whole damn thing is concreted, otherwise the damage will just re-occur in an un-concreted area.

The reason the Emergency Spillway was not paved in 2005, is cause one political party had what is known as Minority Power or than 1/3 of the votes in the CA State Legislature in 2005, which is important for Appropriations(and according to Prop 13 of 1978 raising taxes of any sort, for any reason requires 2/3rds approval), which require at least a 2/3rds vote or the Bill does not pass, in 2016 the voters fixed that, that Party now does not have Minority Power anymore.

What happened today when I came home from the Urologists?

I inserted the key in the lock, and the key twisted off, so I had to go around to the back door, so until the park issues a rent bill, I can't do more than that, when the park does issue a bill(they are late, I'm not), then I will have two keys made, as I removed the part of the key that broke off with a pair of needle nose pliers, that part is in My wallet, safe and sound.

That doesn't make any sense? Bills are demands for money that have to be paid. So why will paying a bill give you money you don't have now to buy new keys??

I was just thinking that myself - you must surely know (to within a few cents) what your monthly park bill is going to be, so either you have the money to buy the keys now, or you are going to have to wait until after your next "pay" cheque arrives - I would guess that you are probably going to have to wait for the cheque as this is a rather unfortunate, unplanned, expense that you could do without (as would most of us here - changing locks or getting new keys cut is all too often a grade one PITA...)

LOL, nope, the bill includes two items that can't be predicted, electrical and natural gas usages, this problem is effecting everyone in the park, not just Me, this is cause someone related to the owner who handles the bills for the park was or is still on a vacation, I've got $507.73 set aside for this bill, the manager said, when He gets the bills in an email, He will print them out, and distribute them, He is also a renter here, Me I'm a resident since I own My place, so I just rent the land, here's an example that I pulled directly from My notes:

(Rent+Utils(265[rent]+30[water]+15[trash]+63.92[elec]+10.93[gas])

The first three are fixed amounts, at least until further notice, the last two currently are previous billed amounts and could be higher or lower than this).

Someone is conflating keys and rent, I should have enough after My rent bill is paid to have 2 new door keys made, it's that or I will continue to use the back door for as long as needed. My last rent bill was $459.49, but this goes up and down and depends on the weather.

And no I doubt the rent will be as high as $507.73, it's too early in the year.

Ok the Rent Bill is here, the total is $426.03, a difference of $81.70, which I can use elsewhere, I'll determine that later...
