Does anyone have the link to the application for the new GBT files for us that run Lunitics? Thank you. |

Here you go. Edit: Hoping that "new GBT files" means Lunatics v0.44, which is the release that supports MB v8 which supports GBT. |

From that list I assume we don't need anything new past the v0.44 installed apps? |

See also the front page news: Breakthrough Listen data now flowing ... we're starting distribution of Breakthrough Listen data from the Green Bank Telescope today. No intervention is necessary on your part. The main difference you will see is a change in your screen saver graphics, if you have them running. We'll still be distributing Arecibo data as well, so that won't change. 'No intervention' means the existing programs, as in v0.44, will run them. |

So I gather from that it's mostly CPU work units? The part where he says it will only be visible on the graphic display of the screen saver leads me to believe it's only CPU as the GPU doesn't have a screen saver at the moment. Or did I misunderstand that? |

WOW, GBT is 128 channels/file ... that's a whole lot of crunching. |

So I gather from that it's mostly CPU work units? We'll all just have to watch and find out. The expectation is that very few of these tasks will reach NVidia GPUs - not because of the screensaver, but because they are likely to be VLARs (Breakthrough Listen seems to be a targeted search, not a generic survey). |

Yes, I remember Eric mentioning something along that lines. Guess it's time for me to invest in a CPU only cruncher, lol... |

Are the GBT data sets more "channels" per set? Either not all of the loaded sets are being displayed or each one contains over 100 channels. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Out of curiosity, how will we know when we have gotten some GB WUs? Will they have a different naming convention? And what about the dreaded RAC therefrom? What will Credit New do with/to them? Cruncher-Americans want to know!!!! |

If you look at the SSP the file names for GBT are completely different. I expect from the time we seen them start spitting, it will be about 2 more hours before they work their way though the MB server cache. |

It would be nice if a few running GBT on stock would post some screen saver pics here. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |
