Do cats & fish get along together in the same house???

Ok I have something to say on Grace and Her not wanting to eat dry food, I'd mixed some dry food with Her canned food, as suggested, She will eat both this way, but only as long as the canned food moistens the dry food, after that She picks thru the food and leaves the dry food on the counter.

Caught in mid jump, a Hungry cat.

Picking at Her food..

Grace's eating, Her canned cat food, the dry She is ignoring...

I agree with the people that suggested a tooth issue... If she has an abscessed tooth, (or two), then this will yield the behavior that you're seeing.

The tooth, (or teeth), in question will need to be removed. After which she may return to eating dry food again.

Just like our teeth, our pets should have their teeth cleaned at the vet's twice a year to promote good dental health. However; this is like a $300 to $400 expense, because the vet must sedate the animal to perform the cleaning. I know that this is an expense beyond your means at this time. But, she should be examined, (sooner rather than later), to see if she needs any teeth extracted.

Good luck, and God bless, Vic.

Her teeth are fine, I was not able to see much, but I felt Her teeth, they are all there.

Taking Her to the Vet is out at the moment, I have too much going on, DMV in Sept(car registration), Oct Oil for the car(maybe), Nov repair the homes gas central furnace, Dec property taxes(part1), Jan Tune up and oil change, Feb transmission fluid change, March is open, though I should be saving up for a 2nd window in March, May and June, I have more Property taxes due in April(part2).

sigh.

Yesterday I worked on Graces water bowl to try and make the water more acceptable
to Her, plus since the tank was mostly full I had to use over half a roll of
paper towels, since some water got on the countertop(fiberboard is under the
countertop), this is as clean as I could get Her water bowl, She did drink some
water, but would only sniff at the dry food. The white ring is Calcium Carbonate
which is in the DHMO here.

In the morning I'm going to buy another 11 cans of cat food for Grace(there goes $4.62), I don't know what else to do. Running water would be nice, but the cold water here is HOT or at least Warm on the cold side(this was not always this way, water used to be cold or at least cool, now warm to HOT), unless I refrigerate the water to make the water cold...

Even though I have an ice maker in My refrigerator, My freezer does not have
enough room for 'cubes', mine are roughly 'D' shaped, like a slice of the Moon,
since My freezer is filled up with food for Me.

I doubt Grace would care if they're cubes or Ds or Mobius strips, as long as they cool the water down.

I've switched Grace to all canned food, so Her food bill has doubled to almost $13 now.

Cat-themed ransomware targeting Androids can encrypt files and silently steal text messages; Hitler ransomware targeting PCs demands payment via a gift card; after one hour, the user's files are deleted.

Yeah, but what she got, was not what She is used to eating, She's used to eating flaked chicken/salmon, by accident She got ground seafood instead, I had to toss out part of a can that was in the bowl uneaten today, it dries up, and then She meows at Me...

$0.42 a can x 30($12.60) or 31($13.02) or 28($11.76)/29($12.18) days...

And pet food is taxable, 8% here, I wish it wasn't, but...

So far I have not had to choose between Her and I having enough money to buy food,
and pay a bill, or fixing My car, or the home, which some mean people elsewhere
object to Me having in the first place.

Vinegar might help you get those mineral deposits out of Grace's water bowl. It has to soak a bit, but it does dissolve and soften them.

And vinegar is pretty cheap stuff.
The other thing that would work is Lysol toilet bowl cleaner with lime and rust remover....
But that is kinda nasty stuff, so I'd try the vinegar route first. Just give it some time to work and soak it a few times if necessary.
