Just obtained a Dell Venue 8, Android version running on an Intel Atom. Loaded a number of projects up in Boinc but none ship any tasks. Anyone aware of projects that run on this configuration? |

If your not receiving tasks then check you have your settings correct. My Android phone was doing the same thing , I had the settings set wrong Check theses as there my settings on my phone General autosatart checked show notification for new notices ...checked show notification when suspended ...checked show advanced preferences and controls ...checked pause computation when screen is on ...unchecked Network transfer tasks on Wi-Fi only ...up to you daily transfer limit ...up to you Power power source for computation ...check all min battery level ...20% max battery temperature ...40c CPU used cpu cores ... what ever you think mine is 2 cpu limit ...100% pause at cpu above ...80% or what ever you think Storage max used storage space ...90% or what ever you think but not less than 1GB min spare storage ...0.1gb more if your using other apps access interval ...60 sec Memory ram limit ...80% or what you think but at least 1GB Debug gui log level ... 2 |

Just installing BOINC won't do it, you'll need a project that runs Android on an Intel CPU, but most run it on an ARM CPU. So you have to check per project what their applications page says about that, here at Seti http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/apps.php shows they've only got applications for ARM CPUs, which is why you won't get work here. |
