My choices are pay for it or do without. I'm not going to steal it.

Or wait for the reruns on cable or over the air.

Possibly. But probably trimmed to get in even more commercials.

Odds are it'll be in Klingonese. ;)

Not really a problem:

I have that book somewhere. It's not really all that useful. Besides, the TV and movie writers did NOT stick to what was in it after it was published.

Damn, so it won't be all that useful when Seti finds some Klingons?

Maybe some. Nooknekh and Qapla (however you spell them) are still accurate.

Ops i'll get in trouble for this one .

Stuff there $5.99.

Three is Torrent sites Timelord ??

Why pay for ENCORES , ENCORES ,ENCORES ,ENCORES pay the money just for ENCORES when you don't see the same show 4 times listed in a month i'll think about paying for it otherwise there ripping us off for ENCORES ,ENCORES ,ENCORES

My choices are pay for it or do without. I'm not going to steal it.

To open up a can of worms , answer me this !!

What is the difference between recording the shows on your computer, special box , video recorder or the Free to air networks , if I do not burn it to disc and then sell it , or downloading it from one of the free to air On Demand services , You Tube ?

Is it then stealing it if I download the thing from a Torrent site ?

NO it is not only if you wish to make money off it .

The biggest lie about torrent sites is copywright and so called losses .

Most torrent video files are not H/D .
Most torrent users download and watch they do not make money of it and because the quality is normally only Standard Def and only in Stereo it is used as a preview for the show or movie .

If the show or movie is any good then people will go to the movies or hire it on DVD , BlueRay when it becomes available in there area .

You can try a product out and if it's no good or crap you can get a refund so why are Movies , T.V shows or Music any different ?

Are you stealing it or just previewing it if you download from a torrent site I ask ??

Ok now I don't know if this will actually happen this way or not, but Star Trek might appear on TWC's On Demand channel(1), for no extra cost, since another 'CBS On Demand' TV series is also there, which one? Superman's Cousin:

But CBS also runs that on the air. Star Trek won't, except for the pilot.

Still, worth keeping an eye on. Uverse has free on demand stuff too.

OK folks, here is what we know so far about the new series:

- It will be set in the prime universe 10 years before TOS

- The lead will be a human female. She's not a captain but a Lt. Commander "with caveats" (whatever that means)

- The series shall center around an event referenced in TOS

- Will probably have more aliens in the cast than the other ST series

- There shall be robots

- Spocks mother may be featured but will not be central

- The cast shall also feature both a male and a female admiral, a klingon captain, a male advisor and a british male doctor

- The first season will have 13 episodes which will be serialized but also feature closed end stories.

- The series will air in the US on CBS All Access (with commercials; ~12 min/h), in Canada on Bell Media and on Netflix in the rest of the world.

I wonder if she's Pike's "Number One" from The Cage. Originally played by "M. Leigh Hudec," a credit revision made to get Majel Barrett (Roddenberry) as Nurse Chapel past the network execs who thought Number One was too strong a female character.

Also wonder if the Klingon will be one of the three from TOS (and one episode of DS9) or a new one.

I think it sucks that you have to pay to see it and still have to have commercials. I will not pay.
