My wisdom teeth are all on My lower jaw and were partly buried under the gums, since I had a molar pulled on either side of the lower jaw, they have moved to take the place of the missing molars, sure there is still a gap, just not as much as before, as to the upper jaw, the upper jaw has no wisdom, just a gap where a missing molar was at, so I have to chew only on the left.

My teeth are history.
I could not at the time afford to maintain them, (insurance in USA very
much limits how much THEY will have to pay), so they crumbled one by one.

It was painful at the time. Also painful when I finally scraped up enough
to have the remainders pulled.

The dentures were supposed to attach with implants, those too failed.
I find I am unable to actually eat using the dentures.

On the bright side, when the last of the rotting teeth left my mouth,
my taste buds returned in Technicolor. So no regrets other than some difficulty
with crunchy things.

So if you can, take care of those teeth kids. But you can only do what you can afford.

I wonder why they call it wisdom teeth.
To me they are PITA.
I had one shattered tooth because of them.
They sometimes grow under the tooth next to them and push nearby teeths up and when your are eating the nearby teeths shatters!

Do you still have the implants?

Semi-good news:

Thanks to the help of my dentist's office, and my Anthem Blue Cross insurance broker; I am fighting the denial of service authorization. I will find out in two weeks if Anthem overturns their denial.

Should this happen, it changes things for the better; dramatically. I'll go into more details in two weeks when I hear back on Anthem's final decision.

In the meantime; I hope that donations keep coming in; no matter how small the donations are. I thank everyone whom has already given to the cause.

God bless,

TL

as to the upper jaw, the upper jaw has no wisdom

Zoom not shore if your saying I'm lieing so here are the facts about wisdom teeth .

https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/conditionsandtreatments/wisdom-teeth

Wisdom teeth are the molars (back teeth) that come through last, usually in the late teens or early 20s. There are normally two wisdom teeth in the upper jaw and two in the lower jaw, but some people have less than four, or even none at all.

I knew that, I was referring to My upper jaw, not everyone elses. I'm sorry if I was not clear on that.

GREAT NEWS EVERYONE!!! :-)

Anthem Blue Cross of CA reversed their denial of coverage!!! :-)

What this means is:

Dentist's full rate of Billing: $1,183.00

Insurance Contracted Rate of Billing: $729

Insurance Payment on Contracted Rate: $260

Patient Balance Due: $469

------------------------------------------------------------------

GoFundMe Donations Received to Date: $440

Parents giving me: $20

Remaining Balance Due to Dentist: $9

------------------------------------------------------------------

I have the flexible cash in my bank account to cover the $9

So, as of today, 11-11-2015, I am closing the GoFundMe Account Page, and withdrawing the donated funds that are there.

Thank you ALL whom have donated. Without the help of you all, I would be in dire straits for the $469 Patient Balance.

God Bless,

TL

[EDIT:]

In issuing the Withdrawal Order through GoFundMe, I find that GoFundMe will actually be taking a small fee from the total donations before depositing the remaining funds into my bank account.

What this means is, the Total Funds deposited to my account will be: $402.55

I will still be able to pay the remaining balance myself.

Merry XMAS and Happy Thanksgiving too TL, I'm glad the insurance company decided not to be a Turkey. :)
