I guess it meant as soon the tapes are finnished. SSP shows 21 channels in process of splitting, when only 7 splitters exist. Each time this happens, splitting rate drops to single digits. This is the first time it's showed 21, normally it's 14. It's like somewhere the splitting process dies then restarts leaving the previous work stranded. |

This isn't a server problem but it is hard to come across a V 7 resend task for GPU's. |

Whatever is going on, some things are now updating as numbers of v8 Ready to send now show 504,000, and v8 Results out in the field is slowly climbing. Grant Darwin NT |

There's obviously a splitter issue going on, that should be addressed Actually looks much more like a status page issue right now. You did notice that the v8 and v7 are reporting identical numbers for several parameters. That just isn't likely, so they are not reporting the truth. Also there aren't entries for v8 splitters on the status page! |

That just isn't likely, so they are not reporting the truth. If you look just below those numbers you will see this ** these v7/v8 values are combined/the same Looks like it was intentional for whatever reason Bob Sometimes I wonder, what happened to all the people I gave directions to? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SETI@home classic workunits 4,321 SETI@home classic CPU time 22,169 hours |

Credits ain't exactly ok with v8 but hope when gpu apps are released (very soon ) things will get back to v7 levels (bit to much to hope for v6 levels ). Over the holidays they must of found Tim Lehery's "sugar cubes" and got them mixed up with proper sugar cubes and been using the wrong ones in their coffee |

Yea I noticed some v8 credits are 'wacky' hopefully they can sort that out. EDIT: Actually I think it is more that run times are 'wacky' resulting in bad credits. |

Hmmm... SSP has problems. "Splitter status" hasn't been changed between 3 Jan 2016, 12:10:03 UTC and 3 Jan 2016, 13:20:04 UTC "Data Distribution State" -table is changing all time. |

I'm somewhat suspicious of the 'Result Creation Rate' (one which people keep trying to guess the implications of). Nearly a million v8 results out in the field, and 500,000 ready to send, sounds about right - but to keep those figures roughly stable would need some splitting - which we're not seeing. I suspect that (for Result Creation Rate, at least), what should be 'combined' is actually 'v7 only' - 0.7 is a fairly typical rate for errors, inconclusives and timeouts only, with no actual new work created. Once all the dust has settled, we must ask Andy Lee Robinson if he could update his very useful seti@home Server Statistics graphs. |

You did read my mind, Sir Richard of Seti@Home :) When dust has settled, please do ask Andy Lee Robinson to update his very useful pages. With my humble request. That if You do have his contact information. |

Is it me or is something wrong. I haven't had any work for some time and both my machines are empty. |

Is it me or is something wrong. I haven't had any work for some time and both my machines are empty. It is you. You are using anonymous platform and have not updated it to handle v8 work. No more v7 work will be issued. |

@Richard I've seen you are very busy with the deployment of Seti V8. When you have time can you please do an updated on how many 2011 tapes have been processed in December? On your last count (1 December) we had +/- 385 tapes left to reprocess from 2011. I see on the SSP that tapes from 2015 are being loaded. Filipe |

Managed to pull the data over the holidays, just hadn't got round to posting it. Very similar rate of progress to November - exactly 200 tapes seen, 197 re-processing and 3 new to the database. So we're below 200 remaining: Recorded TOTAL Processed with Processed with SaH v7 (since Sah v6 only launch June 2013) (derived) 2007 350 4 346 2008 916 874 42 2009 548 456 92 2010 762 138 624 2011 1145 953 192 2012 846 819 27 2013 590 585 5 2014 260 260 n/a 2015 164 164 n/a Grand total 5581 3858 1716 (see message 1746125 for previous explanation) |

As of posting this I have 211 v8 VLARS I believe and a falling number of v7 since they are no longer being produced. How did I update to Ver.8 with out any input from me on my behalf. I was simply hitting the update button sevral times a day and they have come in on their own. When Eric released MB v8, among the changes were the addition of v8 to our Computer Task pages, and a cahnge to the "Preferences" to allow v8 by default. So everybody running stock CPU apps got it automagically. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

A relatively minor issue (yay?): For the Beta message boards, the icons that represent "read threads"/"threads with new posts"/etc. aren't showing. It can still be figured out, but I just like being able to 'glance and go'. |
