...now we need the linux versions ....

Anyone around here got them?

If you're using Ubuntu-based variants, which it looks like you might be, there's a PPA I've been using for a long time. Only thing is that it's switched to 7.6.2 already, so if you prefer to stay on 7.4.x the official packages will cover you.

This 7.6.2 Linux version, is this a Private build? Because I don't see a 7.6.2 Linux version anywhere at Berkeley;

Although some uploads are now finally happening through uTorrent, I've now also uploaded the zip files to my BOINC FAQs for people eying p2p with distrust.

boinc_7.6.7_windows_intelx86.zip
(The zip file has an md5 of ba1834ff04bd3e2b06c1da5ab403bd3a)

boinc_7.6.7_windows_x86_64.zip
(The zip file has an md5 of b8581a68efcf0f6b8dad469c5ae4ed3c)

Again:
No, neither has an installer.
No, neither has VirtualBox added.
You may want to stop boinctray.exe from Windows task manager before dropping all files into your BOINC programs directory and restart it after copying finished.
Stop running BOINC before unzipping the contents over the present ones in your BOINC Programs directory, overwriting all.

By the way, pretty proud:

Finally an easy way to figure out what the executable is used to run the present task. :)

Is the 7.6.6 version stable, or is it still in testing stage. What is the difference?

Go for it. Completely stable and no roadblocks in my situation. Ageless [Jord] has also made available the 7.6.7 Boinc Manager available via Torrent. Seems he is the new 'gatekeeper' for BOINC development now that the monies have gone away for David and Rom. He says the 7.6.7 is solid also. I can wait on that release since it fixes problems I never saw. The 7.6.6 release is 'mandatory' in my view since it fixes a major problem with invalid tasks at MilkyWay and also here at SETI. I have had no issues with the 7.6.6 BM.
