I have noticed before when astropulse 7(.7) GPU apps was in beta and now it is in the main SETI, that it resumes at 0% every time gobbling up processing power but never achieving a result.
Example: I had to abort these tasks because of this misbehaviour

Sat Aug 1 09:08:17 2015 | SETI@home | task ap_12fe15aa_B5_P0_00372_20150702_28769.wu_2 aborted by user

To run OpenCL applications on the Nvidia GPU you have to free one CPU core, as else you get the problem you see. In BOINC preferences set On multiprocessors, use at most N% of the processors to 99%. Since this value is an integer, anything above 75% and less than 100% on a quad core means BOINC will use 3 cores and leave one core free for the GPU to use.
