+1's @ everyone's recent posts.

Well you will all be pleased to know that the remote control was located about an hour ago.

Yes :)

It was in the first place we looked for it... which is no doubt why it took us so long to find...

Finding the remote isn't a problem but I haven't felt much like watching TV lately and sometimes it's off for a week or two. I then need to turn it on so I can delete stuff off it to make room to record more programs that I'm not going to watch. I'm beginning to suspect there might be something wrong with me.

I sincerely like to believe that (most of) humanity learned the lesson, as evidenced by the fact that no one in the world has ever done it again.

This is due to the fact that the owners of the nukes up to now have had something to lose. If terrorists of any adherence, especially those advocating the onset of Armageddon, obtain a nuke then all bets are off. They have no home or country or family they love, to lose.

No more to be said by me on this subject, on this thread. Let's break out the darts and dominoes and especially the beer.

Yes, perhaps I should have added a "...so far" to that.

Eric's youngest sister married a er... uh... "complicated" fellow who likes to go out into the Arizona desert with his buddies and shoot rattlesnakes.

Is this legal? If it is, it shouldn't be. If it's illegal,
turn his ass in. Find out when he goes out and tell the
local authorities to BOLO.

I'm with you. Killing animals just to kill animals is completely
wrong. No one will ever convince me otherwise.

I call it ego-hunting. I suppose it's actually ego-killing. It's
not really hunting at all.

What? TV's come with remotes? Eek! ;)

I've got to get a neighbor to help move the old TV to the floor, so that when the rest of the stand and screws gets here, I'll have a place for the TV to sit.

I won't buy anything knowingly made in Japan because of their whaling, which their government defends on the basis of "research". Rubbish! They haven't got the guts to stand up to their own people who would cause trouble if it was stopped.

Not to mention the dolphin hunting. It's awful.

Yes, they are the neatest thing. You don't have to get up to push buttons and turn knobs to change what the TV is doing and they even have something called a mute button so you don't have to listen to commercials. Isn't modern technology wonderful?

LSM and I saw a moose grazing in a slough
along the side of the road today. The female
looked like about three years old, and very
healthy.

I live and work next to the Salt River which for the most part is now a dry river bed. At work, our property is separated from the river by a single lane road. Normally the snakes stay in the river bottom but sometime our tenants dispose of food incorrectly which attract mice and rats. Next the rattlesnakes are attracted by the mice and rats. Our only option is to kill the snakes and put out poison for the mice and rats. One of the shops we rent to employs mostly Mexicans and every so often they will grab a couple of shovels and go snake hunting in the river bottom. Anything they kill, they cook up the meat and preserve the skin for craft work. So far it is legal to kill Rattlers because there are plenty of them, they are dangerous and they often end up where you don't want them.

I just plug the Droid into the PC, and the usb port solves that, it's now charging. And in case I need the phone as a flashlight, there's an app for that too. :D

I have a real odd ball collection of apps on my phone like a bubble level, a text to speech app, a couple of audio apps and an app that connects to both of the security systems at work so I can see what is happening real time. The flashlight is built in but it is handy when I go to bed because most of the time I only use one lamp at night. No point in burning out my stash of filament bulbs. However at the rate I am going through them, I may have a life time supply.

I have a 2D flashlight w/a magnetic grip(currently hanging upside down, like a Bat), for use in the house, all I change is the batteries(once every 3 or 4 months), the led lamp is still going strong, more than 4yrs so far and yes I have a spare led lamp, I'll probably never need it either.

@ Scarecrow LMAOROF!!!

@ Angela, OMG I love that link, lived in Colorado all my life, have 2 of CW McCalls albums, thought I knew most everything connected to Alferd Packer but you surprised me. Funniest video I've seen in a while but then again I'm easily entertained.

@ Susie some places in the Southwest are very overpopulated by Rattlesnakes and hunting is allowed. Wasting the skin and meat may not be illegal but it is a highly frowned upon practice by ethical hunters.
