I really enjoy the 'talking heads' on news programs when they try to translate the Latin botanical name for the plant. Opp, Amaryllis, vakna min lilla:) (Up, Amaryllis, wake up my little!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjKl39n6sjI My grandmother used to sing that song when I was there:) |

It's not known if the skunk was born with only three legs or lost one in an accident, and the family has no plans to try to find out. Why not? Now THAT would make a very entertaining YouTube video.......... "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Get the one for humans, up here they are the cheaper buy! The one for humans? You mean someone makes them for non-humans? (We are talking about the Flowbee, right?) ~Sue~ |

Not strictly a critter, but here's a live webcam on the blooming Amorphophallus titanum (Corpse Flower) at the Denver Botanic Gardens. 5 feet tall and stinks like a dead body, but beautiful. Is that why they cut a square out of the "petal" (I assume that's what it is) down toward the bottom of the plant? I've seen that square cut out of two of the plant videos I saw on YouTube. (Different plants.) ~Sue~ |

Do you know any Haircutting Systems for poodles? There must be something. Dog groomers all over the world must have something they use for poodles. Tosca is very, very cute. ~Sue~ |

Is that why they cut a square out of the "petal" (I assume that's what it is) down toward the bottom of the plant? I've seen that square cut out of two Yes, since the petals don't fully open, a hole must be cutthrough from the outside and a 'sticky' paper inserted through to capture the pollen. At DBT they cut through the side that wasn't facing the public viewing glass. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

I have caught up on this thread... only another hundred or so to go... Good late evening my end everyone :) *stop to consider impact of first post for AGES...* ...and all of you too of course. Loads of lovely clips and photo's and so glad that Fergus the retriever is recovering well, Gary :) I've kind of given up on my hair now. It's trying to retreat back inside my head from what I can tell. Don't worry *smile reassuringly at setizens* there's plenty of room in there for it. Its "there's a tumbleweed stuck in your hair madam" effect is also very good for distracting other people's attention away from the grey :) NICE avatar Zoom! I keep meaning to revamp mine. edit: to remove inappropriate use of an apostrophe before David spots it |
