The SSP shows most aps are not running, is this an unplanned event and cause for panic? Well, that's it. The GPU people ran them out of data. Switch to backup projects. |

Well, Exeter, (GTX-760), just turned in three WUs and picked up three more to replace them. Prometheus is down at the moment; being worked on at Central Computers in Pleasanton. MOBO and CPU swap from Pentium E5200 2.5 GHz to Intel Q9650 Core 2 Extreme 3.0 GHz CPU. Transferring old RAM from old MOBO to new MOBO as new MOBO only has four 1 GB sticks installed... (Transferring four 2 GB sticks --> 8GB DDR2 RAM.) Still keeping the GTX-750 TI SC; but now, the new MOBO has room for a second GTX-750 TI SC. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Looks like someone can reopen the "BOINC down" thread, because the domain just dropped off the face of the Earth. Again. |

The SSP continues to show nothing is being split and nothing ready to send, this is worthy of a fine PANIC |

Nah, I never post in the Cafe here. Haven't been in there since I stopped being a mod here, and that's been quite some years. Like to keep it like that as well. :) But if anyone else feels the need... I won't stand in their way. |

Did they try and load the BOINC backup tapes to be split by Seti? I hope this time it is a planned outage and not yet another machine crash. |

I've asked already, but doubt I will get a speedier answer than last time (when I didn't get any). Same way as it happened before though, one minute it was there, the next it was gone. |

Yes, according to Matt it's a different machine. But two systems can essentially go dead in the same way, just as two of your PCs could truly die because their PSUs give out a week after each other. Maybe it's nothing, maybe they're moving things to various VMs as they said they wanted to go do. But I'd expect a warning up front then, not that it's one minute there, the next gone. Shrug. Perhaps you're right in that they're showing what happens when the money runs out. At least the Pirates@Home web site is back up. ;-) Edit: Good that they moved the source code to gitHub, but sad that they moved the source code to gitHub, because I think they'd make the server be in the air quicker if the source code was still on it. And then make sure it was more reliable. |

See Home Page ---- work production off overnight The science database is down while we make a copy for offline data analysis. This is taking a bit longer than anticipated. During this period work production is off. We hope to resume work production tomorrow morning. 7 Aug 2015, 2:18:00 UTC · |

Does anybody know is "Resend Lost Tasks" enabled/disabled currently? |

Does anybody know is "Resend Lost Tasks" enabled/disabled currently? I think it's off at the moment - I've got a couple I'd like back following a finger-fumble. Perhaps if somebody from the lab peeks in, they could re-enable it for a quick blast before turning the science database back on? |
