Of course it was the trailer brakes.
Who owned the trailer?

edit:
he he....

Huh... that's what the cop said. (minus the 'he he')

($350 for 'defective equipment'... of course the trailer brakes were smoking at the bottom of a 5 mile/6% grade... you made me stop!) :)

Did you miss the 15 MPH sign for trucks? Jake brake not working?

We are now getting some real rain here in California, which includes the Cajon Pass so it should help the firefighters.

I had a friend on her way to Disneyland, she took a detour on some unpaved roads and made it there just fine.

Ones made of dirt next or near to the freeway? Those could have been just firebreaks, as reported on the News, they're not real roads and could be dangerous to ones vehicles underside(oil pan, tranny and such). I'm glad the friend got to Disneyland. I haven't heard much News today about the brush fire, I'm watching KNBC News now, hopefully they'll say something. Meanwhile I can hear more rain outside, no thunder, neat.

KNBC News reported that there were 5 drones in the area that were interfering with operations of firefighting aircraft and it's the 4th time this month this has happened.

Also for the 3rd time today, it's raining here, again. Yay!!!

Update: KNBC just said 44 vehicles were destroyed, containment is still at 5% and 3500 acres have been burned.

Also KNBC mentioned the Pine Fire up in the mountains, rain did slow the fire from spreading of course, this was reported from Wrightwood.

CNN has a story on the fires in Southern California and the Drones were mentioned as Hobby Drones that blocked firefighters.

I know you all aren't used to getting much rain out there, but this just struck me as wow! ~

A quarter of an inch of rain fell in downtown Los Angeles, setting a new daily and monthly record, according to the National Weather Service. The old record of 0.24 inch dates from 1886.

Where I live, this area got 0.1" yesterday, Los Angeles usually gets more, I live in a rain shadow, unless it's rain that comes out of the Gulf of California and this is the right time of the year for that to happen.
