That's not a solution but a four year deal to maintain the status quo. Where have you posted a genuine solution to the problem that the US is facing? |

Sadly, I think you're right on that... ...don't forget Germany. |

Most American's are tired of being the Worlds Policeman. That's maybe true but that also mean that the US is not the Great Country that is used to be. But Donald will make America Great Again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7I92r9GqUw |

Now we know who Drumpf runs to ... https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2016/05/17/council-national-policy-behind-curtain The Council for National Policy (CNP) is, in the words of The New York Times, “a little-known club of a few hundred of the most powerful conservatives in the country,†an organization so tight-lipped that it tells its people not to admit membership or even name the group. It is important enough that last fall, according to an account in The National Review, Donald Trump and five other Republican presidential candidates each took 30 minutes to address the group; the conservative journal reported that Trump was by far the favorite candidate. Sorry to report that Drumpf draws support from ISIL like followers. |

Sorry to report that Drumpf draws support from ISIL like followers. Gary, that's twice in three days you have directly compared a group of people, who have never physically harmed another human being, to brutal butchers who have tortured, murdered and enslaved thousands of innocents. If you had ever personally witnessed someone dying in a violent manner you might understand how vacuous and distasteful such a statement is. Your compulsion to repeatedly make such comparisons to groups who do not share your dogmatic beliefs borders on the psychotic. Perhaps you should seek professional help with your anger issues before you bite yourself. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

You have to admit though that, that LaHaye chap understands Christianity just about the same as ISIS understand Islam. |

Sorry to report that Drumpf draws support from ISIL like followers. As a former poster used to respond to such posts: "Why,'cuz you sez so?" In long form, when one doesn't like the data presented, perhaps it's not the best reaction to stick fingers in ones ears and loudly state "la la la la la la la" at the person presenting the data. A better approach might be to show where the data is in error. Opinions are not data. Gary provided data, you responded with opinion. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

Sorry to report that Drumpf draws support from ISIL like followers. As you know Bobby there isn't a machine that will beep and say Christian or Other when you point it at a person. There is no uniform definition of Christian. The same of Jews and Muslims or any other who claim to follow the God of Abraham. By saying they follow, then they do. People who think their internal concept of Christian is the only possible one, are the dangerous type. They are the ones who are likely to go screaming blasphemy or apostate and do violence to others in an attempt to force compliance with their thinking. They exist. They do violence. They teach others they hate. They are Christian because they say they are. If someone doesn't like it because they claim to be a religion but aren't in your mind, then you are no different than they are as they judge you wanting in their mind. The pentagon is quite correct to track christian extremists just as they track all other extremists. I am no longer surprised ET hasn't contacted us as we allow primitives in our society who will fight wars over myths. |

The pentagon is quite correct to track christian extremists just as they track all other extremists. And Drumpf is one of them and watch him drape another around him like Sarah Palin. It is so unfortunate they insist upon runnig your life by their beliefs. I'm liking the NSA, FSB, Mossad, CSIS, et al, more and more each day. They have their function, but I worry that they will learn how to do their job so well that if they go rouge there will be no way to contain them. Alas poor clyde, he doesn't understand we have been talking about the people who will write the checks to put Drumpf in office and thus own him and get their way and no other with the people. His policy group. |

Another Flame/Hate hijacking, by the same 'group'. As usual in this thread it is difficult to see exactly what is being said. However as many have condemned the violence perpetrated in the name of Islam. Then can some not condemn other religious groups for their extreme right wing views and acts. Saying a group does or does not do something does of course need to be backed with some sort of factual evidence. As far as I can see right wing Christian groups have been involved in violence and murder in the USA, and other countries. For a moderator a fine line. However can we please stop calling people names or attributing actions to people. Perhaps some of you should take a leaf out of the Chinese governments book http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-36340514 I particularly liked this:-) The vast majority of the comments and posts made on social media are crafted to look like they come from ordinary people, said the authors of the paper, who were led by Gary King from Harvard's department of government. |

Well this is not really coming as a surprise. Donald Trump on Friday slammed Hillary Clinton as "heartless" for backing restrictions on gun ownership that he said would leave Americans in high-crime areas unable to protect themselves. He also challenged Clinton to follow his lead and release a list of potential Supreme Court nominees.http://bigstory.ap.org/242204ee1ecc4ba3a2969fd965d41e06 - We are talking about Paris and San Bernardino, and no one there had a weapon to defend themselves. The guys in Paris just came and shot, bam, bam. Had some had weapons that had not been 130 dead and hundreds remained in hospital today, they had known that there were weapons in the room so this had never happened. They had met with bullets. Sigh... |

Well this is not really coming as a surprise. Didn't work that way for Michael Funk in Neenah, Wisconsin, http://fox6now.com/2016/04/28/police-chief-no-apparent-warning-before-wisconsin-man-shot/ NEENAH — The police chief in Neenah, Wisconsin says a dashcam video appears to show that officers who fatally shot an armed hostage in December gave no warning before they fired outside of a motorcycle shop. |

WinterKnight............ The two situations are not remotely related in the context of the right to bear arms. One refers to the ability of an armed citizenry to repel an attack by criminals, terrorists, or hostage takers. The other is about the interaction between a police force (which in this case, appears to be in error) and an armed citizen. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

WinterKnight............ Michael Funk was armed and in a motorcycle shop, when an armed man came in and took hostages, including Funk. For whatever reason Funk didn't use his weapon in the shop, but managed to escape and then drew his weapon. I fail to see your point. entirely. |

What was cited was the shooting outside of the shop, not the confrontation within. If Funk HAD used his right to bear arms and taken on the hostage taker, it would be relevant. That is my point. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Funny how the NRA are supporting Trump . No that's not funny but the fact the security at the Freedom Hall (I think that's where they announced it and Trump was there ) would NOT allow the people attending it to carry weapons to it is funny. So much for getting rid of gun free zones . But ok to have a gun free zone when Trump is going to be on stage You can trust Trump to do the right thing buy the NRA can't you Trump you are a charmer , but then it's easy to con idiots right mate ! |

Yes, Freedom Hall is correct. That's here in Louisville, where the NRA convention is going on. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

So much for getting rid of gun free zones . But ok to have a gun free zone when Trump is going to be on stage And once again you fail to understand the distinction between 'gun free zone' and 'secured venue' protected by police, secret service and various other ARMED security forces. but then it's easy to con idiots right mate !You ought to know 'mate' being one of the conned for probably your entire life.
