Thanks for the poster pic, Angela. :-) (Much better than "Uncle Sam"...)

Well, it's time for bed. Goodnight everyone. :-) K-9 is on duty, and the TARDIS will open for all of my friends. The TARDIS's kitchen is fully stocked; so, those that crave midnight snacks, or want to delve into the art of souffle making - have at it. :-)

Awesome!!! I blew three thermal fuses on my oven and it won't be repaired until the 17th. I'm definitely making souffles in that TARDIS tonight!!!

Fuses? I once had a house with those, We had to rewire the panel to a breaker box, the wiring probably needed that too, but money was short.

The fuses were all within my ovens - one on the control panel and two from behind the top oven.

Oh, sounds like an old O'Keeffe and Merit, now that was an old stove, that was huge.

It's going to take a WEEK to replace those fuses? Did they have to be special-ordered? Or is there more to it than just blown fuses - like a dead convection fan? Oh, how I hated working on the convection ovens on the boats - especially the older ones, with fiberglass-coated asbestos-insulated wires........

Winning without faulty kitchen equipment.

I initially had to wait a week for the first service call. The repair technician told me I had blown three fuses and that he would have to order them for me. He then told me fuse replacement is the most common repair on my model of oven... which made me wonder why in the heck the company I am using doesn't keep a big box full of thermal fuses in every truck in their repair fleet. Anyway, the fuses arrived in today's mail. The next available appointment was not until the 17th. By the time my oven is repaired I will have gone nearly three weeks without baking. It's killing me!!!

I'm sorry to hear that your baking for the moment is kaput Angela, I'd let you use Mine, if I weren't so far away, but then I don't use it that much. I get so little use from the oven that Grace has taken over one of My largest glass baking dishes..

Of course the last time I used the dish, it was I who was baking, hence the ice.
