these will be here in the next few days. I don't have other loans, more BS making stuff up, I do have a revolving credit account, they are happy and so am I, don't like it? Tough. If I had 1 credit card you'd whine about that... The $5500 is not house maintenance, they are upgrades. BS... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Listen I do not have to justify to the likes of you what I spend money on, so unless you have something nice to say, don't post here. What is here is functional, future upgrades to My home are not repairs, but then you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to My home. So repairing the floor in one of your bathrooms is not a repair? Replacing the damaged glazing units is not a repair? Replacing the "problematic" wiring is not a repair? One may of course decide at the time of replacing "broken" item to do so with something that is better suited to one's needs, but it is still at its core a "repair". So repairing the floor in one of your bathrooms is not a repair? None of what you quote needs repair, it's just busybody Chris S at work again. So repairing the floor in one of your bathrooms is not a repair? I can walk on it and so can others. Replacing the damaged glazing units is not a repair? Glazing units?? Oh you mean Windows. Replacing the "problematic" wiring is not a repair? The wiring is not in need of repair, I will replace 20 outlets of which I have the replacements on hand. What is the problem? American English vs UK English, gak, maybe this is why My paternal French ancestors when offered by King James the 1st to settle in England or Ireland, chose Ireland. Nothing I listed needs repairs, sure the 20 outlets need to be replaced, but it is good enough right now, I can pay down My cards and get somethings which Chris S objects to on Paypal Credit a revolving credit line. Or I could go into default and get the outlets and other things done immediately that are not serious enough to require immediate work, but I guess some have never heard of the term triage a loan word from French as I suspected, and yes I know how to replace an outlet and/or a light switch, unlike some here I have some electrical skills, even if I do have a bad right shoulder and have to find a new Doctor cause I exposed and complained about the current offices practices, they have a bathroom scale for IEHP users on the right side of the office that goes E4 when I step on it and in a closet on the left side of the office 20' or so away by a curved pathway a proper scale that actually weighs Me, I had to ask a rhetorical question to expose that, but that's for IEHP to deal with. I just have to find a new Doctor in a town of 20,000 or rather IEHP does on Monday, IEHP is closed on the weekend... The language is not at fault. Hi Chris, That may very well be so, but... Chris S has a bad habit of chastising people for whatever reason. He tried it with me a several months ago. I stated somewhere that I switched to BOINC from Classic SETI before Classic was shut down for good. He kept telling me that I switched because Classic was shut down, which is not the case. Anyway, I agree with you, but other people posting here need to be constructive and not destructive. Chris S is destructive in my opinion. Let's let this thread get back to what Zoom created it for. Zoom on Zoom! :) Have a great day! :) Siran CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. In other posts you have clearly stated that each and every one of those items needs to be repaired because it is damaged and needs to be "fixed". You have a bathroom floor that moves as you walk on it - that is BROKEN You have glazing units (or windows) that are not sealed properly - they are BROKEN You have outlets, which form an integral part of the wiring - that are obviously BROKEN, not to mention the distribution board that lets water get onto the back, where the electrical connections are. Triage? - Yeh, sure, look at the facts - faulty wiring can and does cause fires, floors that sag as you walk on them can collapse, without too much warning, poorly sealed glazing units (windows if you like) cost you in terms of energy bills. The last thing I want to hear (about you) is that your home has burnt down, or you have fallen through the floor and have been stuck there for a few days, or you've been hit with a larger than expected energy bill and have to choose between paying down a card or paying the bill in the knowledge that failing either will result in some for of "debt recovery" action being taken against you. Thanks Siran. I just used some Walthers Goo Adhesive to repair the joint between a "stainless" steel water bowl for My cat and one of its "rubber" feet that fell off, yeah that Goo stinks, but as adhesives go, it does a good job on more than one material at a time, metal and I think "rubber" in this instance, whatever was used to bond the 2 parts had failed somewhere between where it was made and here, but it's done, now to let it dry for 48 hours as the instructions say to do and yes this adhesive has a smell at first, phew, but it does work. New vs Old water bowls, the old one held more, but Grace does not drink as fast as a dog, though Grace is bigger than some dogs. New: Old: The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I'd be a happy kitty with that new setup! And since it holds less, I should be able to wash it more often. The old one that I've had for over 10yrs is impossible to keep clean and is now in the trash. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I'd be a happy kitty with that new setup! I did some accounting as to what is on My ebay page and it amounts to 1 months worth of spending with Paypal Credit, if I did not buy the stuff there it would save Me 1 month just for 6 items, so in My mind it makes no difference, but of course Chris S just doesn't like Me being resourceful. And further more, someone from outside the US is not a tax payer in the US, otherwise their claim of being from the UK ought to be probed by the IRS. People from the UK don't subsidize people in the United States, in June 2019 I'll be eligible for CalFresh(SNAP) benefits of $140 to $170 a month and in July 2022 I'll be getting about another $270 a month from Social Security that I had paid into for a total monthly income of $1371 or so, I checked with the SSA already and I'll be able to get all 3. My debt will be paid down by Jan 2021, a month less does not make any difference, except of course to Chris S(picky, picky, picky), My benefits come from the United States, not the United Kingdom, no one in the UK subsidizes Me since I don't and wouldn't live in the UK, I could cause of My ancestry get citizenship in IRELAND if I wanted to. I pay $65.99 for 100/10 Internet access and get FREE TV(OTA and Internet), I pay property taxes, My home is paid for since 2006 when I bought it with cash for about $20,000.00 including setup and delivery, zillow.com thinks My home is now worth an estimated $82,691.00 and yes they know My home is a mobile home in a mobile home park, whoopee... It's livable, but then I get ragged on by a perfectionist. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Vic, you are hiding from the reality that you are living beyond your means. You have thousands of dollars of DEBT on various cards, and have a plan to pay that off in two years time. But what if you need to repair your ca, or it needs new tyres, or the interest rate on your cards goes up (and the Fed is increasing its rates, so banks will follow all to soon - and always with a big margin over what the Fed's increase is). In your situation getting a month ahead of your schedule is a very good move, and may save you more than a month's worth of money over the term of your plan. Has ANYONE suggested that the UK is subsidizing the US - NO - it is your fantasy world that says things like that. As for the other things - I am really glad that the current government shutdown will not affect you getting your payments, and really hope that situation continues, and the forthcoming increase does look useful to you, and if properly used could reduce the term on your debt a few more months. Nobody asked you about your internet and TV access, so why bring it up - it just adds fuel to the trolls. Your best way to stop them is not to talk about your expenditure when not invited. Public posts are an invitation to public comment, and sometimes that includes public critique. In the Cafe I post about feeding and training raccoons, knowing full well that feeding and training raccoons is ill-advised and that some people are going to feel obligated to make sure that I know that. For me, the benefits of sharing my love of urban wildlife with forum friends far outweigh the very legitimate posted feedback I get from time to time about why feeding and training urban wildlife is a bad idea. Balance of feedback is really what keeps me posting about my urban wildlife adventures. Most of the feedback I receive is pleasant. Some of the feedback I receive is negative. Those who give me negative feedback are, quite frankly, 100% correct. Feeding and training raccoons is not a good idea. Raccoons are wild animals. They bite. They carry diseases. They should not be encouraged to interact with people. They should not be demeaned by being taught "tricks". All of these statements are true, and yet I continue to feed and train raccoons. If I received negative feedback to 90% of my posts about raccoons, I would not stop feeding raccoons. I would just stop posting about feeding raccoons. Perhaps I flatter myself, but I think some might miss my crazy little raccoon-based contributions to our community. I know that personally, I would miss the contributions of most members of our community if they stopped posting because 90% of the feedback they received was critical. Public posts are an invitation to public comment and sometimes that includes public critique, but if you have shared your legitimate concerns about a topic once or twice, then thank you. You have shared your concerns and they have been noted. On-going critiques only drive the subject matter of a thread further and further off topic. |

Nature is wonderful. The problem is Man. Who were 1st? Animals or Man? I watched a fascinating documentary yesterday called Earth's Great Rivers (3rd episode - Mississippi). For centuries, the ebb & flow of the Mississippi created land. However over the past 80 years, Man in his desire to "protect" themselves has caused devastating damage. Their short term solutions has actually cost the area 2000 sq feet of land, as well lower hurricane protection as witnessed in New Orleans & since. To date, 80 sq feet has been recovered but at an immense cost to the country & will continue to do so. Life for humans is just the same. We all have choices which once made, have consequences, be they advantageous or adverse. We all have to live, but to do so continuously short term without an eye on the long term can be extremely adverse. Edit: Will have to see if I can rewatch it. Something tells me that it should be miles & not feet. |

Ok now that We're back, here's 2, count them, 2 Enermax Maxrevo Gold 1500w psus, which according to the psu makers are at their most efficient at or near 50% load, in this case 92%, at or near 100% load this declines to 90% efficiency. My 2 Cooler Master HAF XB EVO cases now have a psu each. My next 3 psus will probably be a Seasonic Prime Platinum 1300w psu with 108A on a single 12v rail, shocking, then I won't be buying psus again most likely, at least I hope not. The little cable to turn the psus on with has paid for itself, it's better than trying to use a paperclip which is not guaranteed to work, as some do work and some don't. I actually snapped this one with the 135mm fan running. Oh and both work too, 125 Amps @ 12v, not bad for $66.00 and $74.95 respectively and both are very clean inside too. Getting tested soon for asthma, in February. Soon Robert will be here to try and light the gas furnace pilot light, if it won't it could be a thermocouple went bad. Robert came past, furnace pilot light is now lit and the furnace roared to life, the electric is now offline waiting for the next emergency. The electric heater was providing heat, the new window makes a big difference, but then so does proper exterior door weatherstripping, the heater will stop at night at the right temp instead of never getting there. I worked on an Asus GTX590 video card today, it needed new 1.0mm thick thermal pads(Koolance used), the ram had to be cleaned and the 2 heatsinks had to be cleaned and installed, now it and 2 EVGA GTX590 cards, all 3 have Koolance waterblocks installed are up for sale. I have an air cooled EVGA GTX590 that once I work on it I might use for a bit to see how well it works and then sell it too, it needs new thicker thermal pads on the ram too, someone put thin blue thermal pads on the ram that are possibly 0.5mm thick, standard pad thickness I was told by EVGA was 1.0mm and that 0.7mm might be ok, no wonder the card was having problems, the ram chips were not being touched by the heatsink, if the thermal pads were making good contact I'd expect to see part of the pads on the chips and/or on the heatsink. And another thing, you'd think this was a no brainer and maybe it is, ;) , the 6/6 or 6/8 or 8/8 ports in the top of a video card are for pci-e power cables, a video card if it has them won't work without the proper pci-e cables plugged in, yet some will plug in a video card into a slot, hook up a video cable, turn the power on, then nothing happens and pronounce said card DEAD.
