In the vein this thread has taken, how about an underwater ironclad...the Confederate submarine the H.L. Hunley.... http://www.foxnews.com/science/2015/01/30/150-years-after-sinking-confederate-submarine-slowly-reveals-its-secrets.html "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

CSS Virginia(aka: USS Merrimack) USS Merrimack reminds me of modern stealth ship. Without the chimney it would probably not been detected by a radar. |

Then there is this ship, it has two 155mm(6.1") deck guns and I think will have a crew of about 100 people on board, this is the DDG-1000, the USS Zumwalt. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

This is funny:) Zumwaltâ€'s commanding officer is Captain James Kirk. Kirk attracted some media attention when he was first named captain, due to the similarity of his name to that of the Star Trek character played by William Shatner. Shatner wrote a letter of support to Zumwalt's crew in April 2014. |
