Good morning everyone. :-)

Thanks to my specific mood disorder/disability, I don't have to serve on jury duty. However, to qualify for dismissal, I have to get my Psychiatrist to fill out a form.

I hope you are dismissed soon David. :-)

WINNING!!!!! :-)

I don't serve on a jury cause it would be a financial hardship on Me.

They wouldn't compensate you for travel?

Outta here Ping!

They only had 2 cases that might need juries and both of them were resolved by other means.

$0.05 a mile, I live at least 12 miles from town, I use a gallon of gasoline to get to Barstow and to return home, so I tend not to drive very much. I get in 2015, $889.40 a month, if I were rich, then the circumstances would be different, but I'm not and I doubt I ever will be, not unless a friend on FB strikes it rich in the lottery, then She said She'd send Me what I need or $100 Million(it all depends on if she wins and by how much, it's not anyone on Seti@Home).

Winning on a lovely sunny day.

About due to be called for Jury Duty again - they call about every two years. Tulare County pays $0.15 a mile and $15 per day after the first day. Since I live within 2 miles of the Courthouse, I waive mileage.

If I remember correctly from last time, I got about $17 for the day plus mileage.

Also, I seem to recall that last time, they said they anticipated needing five juries. Early in the day, they selected a jury for a coroner's inquest, and then the rest of us sat for the rest of the day until they said they didn't need the other four juries.

The cat just sneezed on my leg Ping!

I never get to sit on a jury :(
Last time I was called the Judge asked if I knew anyone in the court room. Well I did know a few, I had been the Judge's campain manager 7 years earlier, both the DA and the Public Defender had appeared before me reguaring thier pay and the Defendant, a suspended Police officer had a case pending before me for termination.
The judge asked if there was anyone I did not know. I said the Baliff. Who then introduced himself and lead me out.
