Thank you, Gary. In the color photo, people still high up on the ship are more visible. And you see the hellish bunker oil fires on the water which any rescue had to go through. |

Of those 8 battleships. Four were sunk. The Arizona was left in place as irreparable. The Oklahoma was raised and towed to the US but broke apart at sea. The other six were repared and went on to fight. At the battle os Suriago straight. The West Virginia. Tennesee, California,Pennsylvania, and Maryland were there for the last battleship vs battleship action of the war. [/quote] Old James |
