[rant]Posting and wondering if I can get help with closing costs on a house in or about July 2018 from the CRHMFA Homebuyers Fund (CHF), since at most I can only fund $774...

Starving Students[610](Movers)
Utility Deposits.[291](Elec, Water, Trash and Natural Gas)
0.5% Down payment[325](of 3.5% total)
Closing Costs....[774](out of a possible $3900)

This is an FHA backed fixed mortgage, the fund grants 3% to the down payment, I just have to cover 0.5%, plus I need a credit score of 640 minimum, I'm getting a Capital One Secured Credit Card to get that back, since I currently have a thin file. I barely qualify for a $65,000 manufactured home on a concrete foundation, that sits on land that is sold with the manufactured home. And the Mortgage payment would be about $482.57 a month and this includes P&I, mortgage insurance, homeowners insurance and property taxes, which is higher than the $336.67 I've paid in space rent and taxes here by $145.90 a month, to say it will cut into My extra income for 4 years is an understatement, by 2022 I'll be 62 and can then file for Social Security(80%), to get to 100% I'd have to wait until age 70 so far or 2030...[/rant]

I'm sympathetic to your situation, Vic, but four years is a long way out for me to commit to offering any help. I mean, I could be in the same shape by then. It's not likely, but it's possible.

Thanks David, It's only 4 years, cause to complete two projects, repair this PC, buy a replacement recliner, replace/fix part of My car(drivers seat and a/c under the dash), that will take Me until about October 2017(3yrs and 4 months from June 1st 2014) or so, TL04 gets SSDI, I get SSI, so My effort will take longer and I'm limited currently by law to saving $2,000.00 max, I tried to ask about an IDA account that SSA does allow, but the one place(http://www.sbcounty.gov/capsbc/ida.html) that does IDA accounts in this county won't return My calls cause either they are busy or they are not there, in their minds only those who have an earned income can get an IDA account... And SSI is unearned income according to the SSA. If I don't do these things now, some of which require cases that are XL-ATX friendly and with plenty of room for expansion(aka: the 'Azza 9000B'(discontinued, I need 2 of these & 1 of the Phanteks) and the 'Phanteks Enthoo Primo' case), I may never do it.

Just moved the Uverse modem/router 3 or 4 feet west. Let's see if that makes the wifi work better at my recliner.

Meanwhile, listening to the archive from my radio feed to see what I can hear from the BNSF derailment last night. Nothing major, but it tied up the rush this morning.

[edit]

Some of you will appreciate one of the items on this menu. 7th of 9 in the bop plates section. Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives visited this place for the umami burger once.

Hope everything's okay, Ian.

Just sitting here, resisting the urge to visit the euphemism.

Got the lunch menu for next week, which is only for Monday. Tuesday through Thursday are final exams, when they don't serve lunch. Then we're done.

As I posted at Beta this morning, that thread is well under 200 hours from the win.

This thread, on the other hand, appears at its current rate to be nearly triple that.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll send a package of these to the winner.

No promises, though.

A package of these? Naw, keep'em, I don't need them that much. If I were to have won this thread once again...

Ooooh, Ooooh, Ooooh, now I have to go shopping, see if any of my local grocery stores or Target carry them. And I'm almost out of mint-flavored Oreos.
