Wellcome back NeoAmsterdam, we really missed you here the past 24 hours! Hope you got over your hardwareproblems!

But how do you create all these links? In my computer they opened in ITunes, and I tried to create a link for Limbik Frequences in my post, but I couldn't make it work. It is also in ITunes, under radio, and under the Ambient tab? So how do I create a link to this?

I agree with NA, the songs are far more important to me than the artist. The few bands I do follow (well sorta follow), always have local ties, I guess it's like knowing what and how the local sports teams are doing (just something you do). There are even a few I really don't even like that much, that I still do it for.

Today has been a Pink Floyd, Pantera, At the drive-in sort of day (BTW am I really the first one to mention PF ???). Tomorrow, who knows maybe some GnR, P roach, and Alan Jackson. Yeah I'm all over the place.

Oh yeah, 1 point to the first person to name the area I live in (or you could just name a particularly large band that everyone knows). Here's the hint Local fav's: Revelle (please get back together), White/Rob zombie, Shinedown (well they got their big break in town), Drop kick Murphys (if you know them this easily gives it away), and a couple others that are a little too obvious.

Still looking for something profound or inspirational to place here.

Many thanks! I'm still not out of the woods yet with YDL4. I'm waiting on a few last installs under OS X to finish off, then I have to reconfig yaboot. After that, I should be back to a 45 RAC within a week. :-)

HTML is second nature to me by now. Just do a LaTeX document once and you'll end up loving HTML forever!.

OT: The links point speifically to iTunes - No other app is supported. The way you get a URL link to something in the iTunes store is to (1) look for what you want, and then (2) control-click the track. There's an option to "Copy iTunes URL". Then just paste it into
<a href="paste_url_here">insert link text</a>
I'll put up a demo in a minute...

Good to hear! I worked with OS X some time ago. Is it new to you? Or are you just reinstalling?

Testing: No that didn't work! The url came well over just as in my first post, but when I submit, it seems to dissapear! Ok, time for me to go to bed!
Anyway thanks!

TeX and LaTeX, not latex. You've got a one track mind, Misfit!

Not that I would expect anything less from the Keeper of the Babes! :-D

Anyway here's the demo I mentioned. Let's take Sin Documentos by Los Rodriguez, since I've been waiting on Buena Suerte being added before buying it. .o0(It got stolen in Santiago a week after I managed to get a copy!). First, open up iTunes, and select Music Store from the Source sidepanel. Next, type in the search parameter Los Rodriguez Hasta Luego, and look for Sin Documentos in the results pane. Control-click the track, and select Copy iTunes Music Store URL from the context-menu. Now the URL is in your clipboard, ready for pasting here.

Once you're back in Camino/Firefox/Safari (I'll use lynx before IE) and typing in your post, here's the HTML that will make the link:
<a href="paste the URL here">insert text here</a>
You should en up with something like this: <a href="http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=18227006&selectedItemId=18227067">Sin Documentos</a>

I don't know if this works under MS, and probably flat-out won't under Linux/BSD/Unix. As for my experience with OS X... I used to have a Mac IIsi with System 7.0.1 (I later returned to 6.0.8 for the speed boost), so I've been a very long-time user. OS X is nice in the stylistic sense, but how I'd long for a 64-bit PowerPC port of MacOS 7.6.1 with Journaled HFS+ for G4 and G5, or an A/UX 4.0 for PowerPC Macs.

One final note: I am not being compensated for my HTML, selling music, or being a lunatic. I disclaim anything and everything and legalese and monkies and... and... and you've already gone to sleep.

Oh.

Good night, then.

BTW am I really the first one to mention PF ???
I think so. I'm a bit PO-ed with the music shops (and e-shops, I might add) for the ridiculous price for a copy of The Wall. On-line it's $27, but too low an encoding. In-store it's going for a bloody fortune ($35). Let's face it: Short of animé and crack, music is a very expensive hobby!

Oh, and I did work for CVS for about 3 mo. between colleges. If I can't get a job by the 1st week of January, I'm probably going to have to go back... :(

Sure is, unless (removed for legal considerations)... then it's free. I do not condone illegal activities ;). All the appropiate FU's sent to Metallica, Dr Dre, and the other RIAA cronies. I hope they like the post Napster systems:). Thanks go out to the "normal" people in the biz and the fine folks making scan blockers.

Dogbytes: I'm in New York, where for reasons unexplained ourKing George III thinks he can tax internet sales. So even though it's $25.74 for an unacceptably low 128KB/s AAC version of The Wall, I get screwed with the New York Tariff On Anything That Isn't From New York.

I didn't vote for him, so I guess I can claim "No taxation without representation".

ghstwolf: What the RIAA forgot is what Wyclef Jean said clearly in 1997 in Fresh Interlude - &#x266a;[If] your record ain't sellin' / You lack creativity&#x266b;

Seriously, there's nothing worth buying at $15/CD. I never liked Metallica, but I liked One - To me it's worth a dollar (Most appropriate). Dr. Dre isn't my scene, and neither is Britney. But what's on the shelves at WalMart? :-(

I hope they like the post Napster systems.
They're idiots. Napster for caving in, the record companies for not moving with the market demand, the artists for their hyped shit, and the ISPs for covering their collective legal ass, and the lawyers for patenting a fucking data structure!

Frankly, once these pathetic excuses for specimens of Homo ergaster die out, people will go back to buying music and paying for artist creativity - Not 15 different versions of the same shit over and over and over and over and over and over again.

This morning my clock radio woke me up with Mystify<a> by INXS. Made me ponder on how fragile lives and minds are!

I know the guys in INXS have got an another singer, and even he's not so charismatic as Michael Hutchence, I hope they will come back with some good music in the future!

The album Kick is, of course, in my collection!
