Well, my RAC as shown on the My Account page has gone from hovering near 89,000 to barely a week ago to about 82,900 just now.

Some of that is due to my turning HT off on my Haswell machine to prevent high temps, but no more than half, as the other machine has also dropped about 3K or so.

It´s posible is nothing relatet to HT, we was out of AP for more than few days so for most of us, our RAC drops too.

Hey guys...in Afghanistan, here, and up until about 2 days ago was able to contact the project and transfer work. Nothing working now so I'm wondering if this is on my end.

Thanks for your time.

please read this thread

that thread says your WU may be corrupted.

I'm looking at the uploader error as being the problem

Try restarting Boinc, I had something similar a week ago when my logon to the local hotspot timed out, relogging onto the hotspot didn't cure it, but a Boinc restart afterwards did.

I've tried all of your suggestions to no avail. Still getting the same bizarre errors and I remain prevented from uploading or downloading any work. Please help. I'm including a larger chunk of the LOG file for your inspection.

Back when SETI was having Windows download problems I remember seeing those sort of errors from certain Proxies. Other Proxies worked fine. You might try finding a Proxy that doesn't give that error. There are many different lists around, Proxies...

You can also try:
 <http_1_0>1</http_1_0>
Set this flag to use HTTP 1.0 instead of 1.1 (this may be needed with some proxies).

in cc_config.xml from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration

That helped me in a similar situation behind an old proxy...

After the relocation to COLO and with the access of the GB conection, there is not need to use proxies anymore for SETI.

Proxies are never mandatory, but if you're inside a company or your internet provider enforces use of a proxy you're out of luck!

[edit]
There are even transparent or intercepting proxies, you're never aware of using them, but if they don't support http 1.1 your BOINC is screwed without the given option...

Looks like there's some database slowdowns happening here. Going to "Your account" takes ages (well, up to a minute).
In similar style, same problems happening over at the BOINC forums. The person I just banished will never know why as the email about it still has to come through. :-(

There was a big networking problem at Berkeley earlier today. That should've been fixed now, so speeds should be normal again.

Although not directly related to crunching, I am getting the "Untrusted Connection" message while trying to open seti@home account using Firefox. Says the connection is unsecure and the certificate isn't valid. All seemed ok till yesterday, however, there seems no issue with IE. Anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

Edit: Please disregard, it was some issues with the proxy settings.

I find it interesting that during the outrage the crickets only dropped to ~100Mbits. Don't they usually drop to ~20 or less?
