Hello Byron!
I just read an history of the Orkneys, so now the
web names I came up with years ago don't seem so
far off base any more: Snorry Gutripper, Snert the Wise,
Bubba Bloodaxe!

A cautionary tale for the beer drinkers thread. (Wise nod) We know who we are! We just don't always know where that was! :)

Good Morning, Byron! (Well, technically it's afternoon, but I'm a late sleeper.)

I try to get my chores done before I wake up - it makes me feel I've deserved a well earned nap straight afterwards. Actually, Sue, I'm glad you're here... (sorry, didn't mean that to sound like it came as a surprise :))...it's just, you're the only one I've found who might know the answer to this... cat whiskers up nose...? COULD they interfere with normal brain function? :)

Duh, um, errrr, I don't think so.

Maybe the 14th Doctor (whoever it is) should try wearing a monocle.

I can't myself because I need two of them, each bifocal.

Better for popping in to the cafe :) and seeing what you've all been up to today :) struggling a bit to sleep at the moment. :/

Maybe you should suggest it :) (wow, I really need to learn how to spruce up my links)

I actually think it would suit him! Peter Capaldi - only ever seen him in one thing where every second word was on the... um foul side :) Did have to re-insert my eyeballs when I first saw the news of him becoming the next Doctor, but he is a good actor.

I can't myself because I need two of them, each bifocal.

My mum wears bifocals. She has alzheimers now unfortunately and my sister and I take it in turns to look after her. One of the most important ways of doing that is to check that she hasn't put her glasses on upside down. I'm sure, being a wearer, you will the recognise the risks that could pose. :)

Best wishes David, hope you're having a delicious day!

Oops. Am I going to get told off for putting an actor in amongst the critters? :)

He he he he. That could be a new thread! Doubt whether we could afford the law suits though. Seriously though... might have to go and look for a raccoon or something :)

As you can probably guess, I just tried it. My vision was still a wee bit better than with no glasses at all. Not good enough to drive or anything, though.

He he he he he :) Hi David. Don't try stepping off curbs either... unless you fancy becoming a traffic calming feature :)

Hi Byron! How are you? Rescued a bumble bee today. Does that count? Bit worried about him really - seems to have suffered some wing damage. :( At the moment he's on a sponge moistened with sugar water under a covering leaf in an old fish tank, and seems quite happy - though how can you tell? Think my cats think I'm bonkers, but they seem less annoyed than they were with the baby squirrel that spent last summer recovering in my garden after it had it's tail bitten off by a dog and ran up my trouser leg. I was only going to the shop to get some milk too...

Never know when I do these things if I'm prolonging their suffering or not :(

Any thoughts anyone?
