While doing my daily run through all the tabs of http://thehungersite.com this morning, the headline on The Rainforest Site caught my eye and I thought of all of you here. I will also post at Rocky's. The headline on the main page just said Save Koalas, but when you click on it it says Return rescued koalas to the wild. They want you to give money, of course. There's a story about one particular koala that was treated at a wildlife hospital and released. Or do my cats have short term memory issues? :) Tell them No and they will turn around do what they were doing earlier, even if you don't want them to, I've read you have to catch them in the act on their 1st try at misbehavior to stop that behavior or they will ignore you. This is a solicitation for donations to return sick or injured koalas back to the wild. Ignore it if you like, or go and donate. I just thought this was a good place to post the URL. https://therainforestsite.greatergood.com/store/trs/item/50916/ ~Sue~ |

$21 bucks per day is a bit steep. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

$21 bucks per day is a bit steep. It does seem to be, doesn't it? Of course, they're only asking for a one-time donation of $21 from you. Too bad you can't choose to donate less. Or more, for that matter. ~Sue~ |

Or do my cats have short term memory issues? :) So true. For some reason we have a cat that comes in when I tell her too. She also absolutely loves kitty treats and will come running home when I shake the box. I was calling her once on the doorstop and shaking the box when she appeared at the end of the street at a dead run and all the way home then ran up the steps into the house. A passing lady stopped to watch and said she have never seen anything like it. I keep meaning to film it because it is so funny when she does it. Reality Internet Personality |

A giraffe gave a lick to a dying man who asked as a last wish to be taken to Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he had done odd jobs for 25 years. Giraffe licks dying zoo worker |

I have some catching up to do!!!!!! Hi Es, may I second msattler's "PLEASE DO" with regards filming your cat! I will understand if it doesn't happen. When I try to take photo's of my lot, the black ones pose against something black and close their eyes, the ginger ones curl their heads into their voluminous stomachs and play dead, the tabby peers down the lens into the camera, blocking out all the light, and all the girls hide, probably because they're worried their bottoms might look big in it. :) And no... none of my cats type... though they do enjoy patting mine when they're not assaulting the mouse :) That is a super cute squirrel pic Suzie-Q! And Winterknight!!!!!! What a heartwarmingly lovely, though awfully sad post about the giraffe and the dying man! Thank you! I probably owe my life to licking. A few years ago, both my dogs started behaving very oddly, licking at one particular area on my calf. Drove me nuts when I was wearing trousers, because they would try to bite through them to get at my skin. Just happened to mention it to my doctor the next time I saw him. Was very early amelanotic melanoma. Unusual for my age (till you factor in growing up in africa) and usually only diagnosed late. Was very lucky!!! Chris... Have you been taking photo's of my bath again? :) I promise, it doesn't always look like that :) Zoom314, Wiggo... that is the most absorbing cat toy I have EVER seen!!! :) Any chance you know where they retail do you? :) |
