Today was fairly nice. Too bad I had to work.

The forecast for Halloween just keeps getting worse. Rain starts about midnight tonight and continues through Thursday night.

Now if I can just get used to your millibars...

Hiyah Ulibelle,

Barometer now 1005, so storm is really now well gone. But 42F already at 9pm. It will be a lot lower in the small hours tomorrow, bit of a cold snap.

My two cats have the cat flap but they are well curled up inside :-)

I rarely see my pressure lower than 1000.

We are supposed to get down to 36F tonight and 32F tomorrow.

No need, Chris. My brother-in-law went to the house on Tuesday morning, after everything had settled and reported that there was no damage at all - although some of the neighbours were not as fortunate. My mother had been kept awake for most of the Sunday night, by the sound of the wind, but that was the extent of the damage. However, I have to report that my sister was greeted by the sight of her TV aerial, hanging by it's cable ouside her front window, when she went downstairs on the Monday morning. Thats Starcross for you! In Essex, I noted that C2C were not running any trains (on Monday) until about 13.00 hrs and on my drive to work, I noticed that the traffic was very light (Essex wimps)! Indeed, allowing myself an extra 10 mins to travel, meant I got to work, 15 mins early!!!

So much for that forecast. Scattered sprinkles overnight and fog this morning. Rain now supposed to start this afternoon.

No sprinkles here, just cold temps and scattered clouds, it's 43°F/6°C outside right now, glad I'm inside, where it's 76°F/24°C.

It's a high desert that I live in, so this is normal, right now it's a 'warm' 58°F/14°C day, with a predicted high of 68°F/20°C. Catwoman better put Her long underwear on under Her costume, since it gets cold at night at 1926ft in elevation, I'm glad I don't live in Big Bear CA, there they have or will soon have SNOW... But Big Bear is in the mountains and they get lows in the 20F's and 30F's, if ones lucky that is.

Little bit of drizzle on and off, but the big sploosh is coming in a few hours. The computer model says about 1.5" here and 2.3" not too far south in Joliet.

There *may* be a small window for trick or treating tomorrow.

The temperature, however, will hold steady in the upper 50s or even rise into the 60s overnight.

Already put mine away. Only 42F/5.5C, so time for some soul food, split pea soup.
