Winning before starting up on 12 hour shifts this week.
Gonna be a long one.

Oh my, I have max 8.5 hour shifts and that's a bit too long for me already!

I won't complain toooooo loudly. The paycheck gets a nice boost. But it surely does not leave much time for anything else from one workday to the next.

I know. Even no time for the car wash or the supermarket at times...

Mnay times in the Navy I worked 12-hour shifts for weeks at a time. Didn't have much of a life off-work during those periods, and since the military is on straight salary and not hourly, no overtime. But since I didn't have much time to spend money, the bank account did grow nicely...

Sometime in teh next two weeks I'll go back to work at the USDA Cotton Grading lab, and be putting in 9-hour shifts 6 days a week until mid-January.

Yep, people there get paid to eat, sleep, do various duties(depends on the MOS) or nothing in particular, though some in this country will never understand this.

Okay, I'm finally here. I got bogged down in technical stuff over at Einstein, Beta, and here.

Anyway, I'm giving you a little hint on what the winning number will be. It's the Dewey decimal number I most often assign to new items I catalog. It will just be the main 3-digit number, of course, since there can't be a decimal part of a post's number.

Late lunch is over, but now I have to go sit at the counter for the next two periods, so I'll look at the Beet's thread after that.

Well it's not this one and yep, I do know what the term Dewey Decimal means, I'd worked in a Library as a file clerk for 3 years, though no one else would hire someone who worked in a library I found out.
