I just saw 2, I won't say more on them. I need more caulk, looks like I'll be buying 3 tubes($2.14ea), mothballs and clothes moth traps. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Cooling off after moving some boxes, two of which need to be replaced, thankfully I'm prepared for that. The closet is now empty until the 1st or when I find some caulk around here, the floor in there needs to be vacuumed again, but since the closet is totally empty, I can do that soon enough. Right now I'm just hot & tired... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

regarding the opening piccy - are dragonflies bugs sensu strictu? Been years that I read these bugs. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

This gal was on my car antenna thingie for awhile. I have had several of these spiders in my back yard this summer, right outside the back door. ~Sue~ |

A taped up doorway to the Master bath, the taped areas are where moths have been seen to enter the mobile home, they'll be caulked, when I buy 3 tubes on the 1st at least. The latest entry point is at the lower right, I'd just taped that today as I just noticed it, this is 2" wide masking tape, it's all that I have handy. Some of the caulking I've had to do. Oh! I have a beautiful yellow garden spider who has chosen to grace our entryway with her lovely web. Her name is Orbetta. I will see if I can get a picture of her up this weekend. She is stunning. |

Vic you can seal up the inside all you want, But you need to seal the outside first. Stop the entry and then you stop the infestation. [/quote] Old James |

Vic you can seal up the inside all you want, But you need to seal the outside first. Stop the entry and then you stop the infestation. It's not an infestation James, I had one moth come in to the closet when it was empty and vacuumed clean, so how can it be an infestation with bare walls, shelves and floors?? Not a moth to be seen, nor are there any in the master bedroom, the master closet or the bathroom or even out in the kitchen or front room... Once the air from inside the house is stopped the moths will go elsewhere. The outside should be taken care of by the park really, but the only maintenance that can be done now is the quick type and the park has done that twice here. I just figured out that the image here disappears if I delete the photo from where it was uploaded. Doh! I used to be able to figure these things out before any damage was done. My mom has Alzheimer's and I think I'm in the early stages. The early, early stages. Or I'm just getting stupid. ~Sue~ |

I was almost stung by a wasp last night. In fact, I think I got a "mini-sting." I took the trash out. When I came it I felt a tickle on the back of my arm, so I reached to investigate and/or scratch. I immediately realized that I had a wasp in my hand. There was the buzzing and just a little prick. (Go ahead. Make jokes.) I threw the wasp to the floor, then picked it up by one wing and took it back outside. (I don't kill wasps unless they deserve it.) I put some ammonia on the mini-sting and now I don't feel a thing. (Ammonia is great for a sting if you get it on there quickly. You can buy After Bite-The Itch Eraser and you'll see that it's just ammonia.) ~Sue~ |

Can we please stop with the spiders... Anything else, I can handle; however, NOT spiders!!! Please!!!??? Hey now. This is the bug place, and that includes spiders. Let's not relegate the bugs to a special thread and then re-relegate spiders into another special thread. We'll end up with threads for every species of insect and arachnid. Too bad we don't have the option of looking at a subject line and then choosing to open or not. ~Sue~ |
