Some spiders like the Brown Recluse or the Black Widow are poisonous, you don't want to be bitten by either one. I've been bitten by Black Widows - they died a quick death immediately after. Left a nasty red welt for a few days, but no serious reaction. Had them in our woodpiles and the garage most of my life. Guess I built up an imunity over the years. Nowadays when I go out to the storage sheds, I lead with a broom to clear the spider webs. Never encountered a Brown Recluse (that I know of)......
