Well Angela, after doing some detective work, I found this Burgermeister has only 7 outlets, their listed Here, though which are franchised and which aren't I don't know. Oh and McD's special sauce uses a Mayo and Yellow Mustard base, unlike Thousand Island which uses a Mayo and Ketchup base as is mentioned Here and that is straight from the Horses mouth. Mayonnaise Sweet pickle relish Yellow mustard White wine vinegar Garlic powder Onion powder Paprika The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

MMMmmmmm.... Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun. Don't make me tell you about the special bus. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Years ago I spent quite some time as a single parent. (Single Dad) My older boy found out that the local MacBarfie’s whoops; Mc Donald’s was giving away free hamburgers for mothers on Mother’s Day. The dear boy decided that I was also a mother in the circumstances, so he talked me in to applying for the gift certificate. To make a long story somewhat shorter, the out-let did not think I was a mother, so after a heated but polite discussion between my son and the shift manager we left the place without the prize. Of course I was by this time very proud of my Boy who was eleven at the time. Two hours later as we were settling in to a vigorous game of street hockey the franchise owner of the shop sent one of her signor managers over to our house to present me with a nice shiny gift certificate for the burger, and also another one so my boy would also be able to get a free fries and pop. I must say that for all the trying I seldom was ever able to cement home a life’s lessen as well as that shop owner did on that day. |

I do love my meat grinder.. currently using ground chuck.. ( cause a chuck roast is what I chucked into it last) and I can eat RARE without taking my life into my own hands.. (though I prefer it a happy medium). Could make for happy Eric an Kittahz. and of course Cheez Janice |

Just reading about cheezburgers has me craving a couple. Eric must have superior willpower to have been that close and still walk away. I too would have walked out with you Angela, because a principle must be upheld, but we would have stopped at the very next establishment we came across on the way home for some cheezy flavoured gut bombs. Just reading about cheezburgers has me craving a couple. No question I'd have done the same, but I'd have requested to speak with the duty Manager first, and if that brought no satisfaction, down the road to their competitors.... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Or at least stopped at the In-N-Out in either Oakland or San Leandro, which might be close to a route home. |

This is My favorite cheeseburger, Carls Jr double bacon cheeseburger... I haven't had a Carl's Jr's. burger in a LOOONG time either; however, what I like is that they flame broil, (like BK), and that they cook to order; so, the burger is fresh. There's both a BK and a CJ within 5 min. of the house. There's an In-n-Out about 8 min from the house. TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

This is My favorite cheeseburger, Carls Jr double bacon cheeseburger... Both BK and CJ are both in Barstow about 10 mins away and In-n-Out is about 30-45 mins away. But yeah a fresh tasting burger and fries is very good. For Me it has been since before 1998, My Brother liked Original Tommy's Burgers, He would take Me there every month up to late 2003. If that's what you like about them, you should really like Portillo's. If you ever get down to Buena Park or Moreno Valley, or Scottsdale or Tempa, AZ, or the Chicago area, be sure to give them a try. They are absolutely my favorite burger and my favorite fries. Love the Italian beef and sausage too. When I'm being good to my diet, I have the broiled chicken, but honestly that's not quite as good as McD's grilled chicken (although it comes with better lettuce). I just looked at the separate menus for AZ and CA. The only difference I see off hand is that in CA they offer a chili cheeseburger. Before I forget, the chocolate cake is to die for. The strawberry shortcake is good too. So is the eclair cake, if they have it (not all of them do, even around here). In-N-Out now has locations in 5 States. Original Tommy's, that is a different experience than In-N-Out, but a chilli burger isn't a cheezeburger either. Unfortunately Original Tommy's hasn't gotten much out of metropolitan Los Angeles, but there is one in Barstow Vic. Fuddrucker's is yet another place with ardent adherents. Hook Burger and Habit Burger are upcoming micro chains under common ownership. Here in LA, the SCAQMD (South Coast Air Quality Management District) got all over Carl'S Jr and BK about their flame broiling. They forced them to install special pollution reduction equipment and get permits to pollute, er operate. |

Visalia has a Habit Burger Drive-In, about two years old. Went in to the old Merle's Drive-In building across from the College of the Sequoias. Burgers are pretty good, I prefer their pastrami sandwich. We also have an In-n-Out about a mile south on the same boulevard. We have pretty much all the National chains, and I bounce around between them, but when I'm not in a hurry, there are two local 50s-style joints I go to - Dimple's Diner and Good Times Cafe. Dimple's looks like an old railroad car, clad in shiny stainless steel. Both places the burgers are thick and juicy, fries are crisp and not real greasy or too salty. Real ice cream shakes and malts. 50s music in the background. MMMMMMMM - good thing I already had dinner. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

We didn't have their chilli burger, that was the only one that I could find online, We normally had their large cheese burger, but then My Brother wanted to spend time with Me, 5 years was not enough, but it will have to do. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

No, in that situation, it's never enough time. Only way I can eat a chili burger is open-face. Any other way and I'm wearing half of it..... (8{) Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |
