I think I mentioned recently that I'm related 2 different ways to President John Adams. Supposedly, we also have a connection to Prince William, but I don't know much about it. However, it actually puts me one up on his wife.

And that's only on My Dad's side of the family, I've no idea what the Spaffords did while under Confederate(Rebel) rule down in Texas during the US Civil War...

I am the grand daughter of a garbage man (mom's side) and a baker (dad's side). There is not a drop of blue in my veins.

Oh and I forgot to mention, My Dads family came to this country in 1850, after being in Canada since 1820, no I don't have any idea why they left, maybe they got tired of the cold, I don't know how Ireland compares to Canada or the US, first in Nebraska and then Keystone South Dakota, My Dad was born in Idaho on the way to Oregon where they briefly stayed before finally settling in Culver City CA, to where My Grandpa is still mentioned to this day on the Historical part of the Culver City Fire Department website, He's portrayed as owning the family auto garage where the Fire Engines and Police Cars were kept and maintained at before the City had its own facilities, an Uncle(Joe) that I never met was the Fire Chief from what I was told, as to when I don't know and My Grandpa was the Police Chief & later a City Councilman and We still have His Gold Shield too. The part of My Uncle was told to Me by My Brother and I have no reason to doubt His word.

None of us has blue blood, it is all red.

We've been here since 1642. We had a decorated Civil War soldier, not sure if he was a hero. A few in the Revolution too. And of course Streator, Illinois is named for one of us.

Oh, come to think of it, I think a Streeter was a cabinet secretary in the 1880s or something like that. I'll have to look it up.

No royalty I know of in the German, Polish, and Ukrainian quarters.

Blue blood is a euphemism for royalty, besides if someone actually had blue based blood, they would be very alien indeed, as far as I know the only species on this planet to have blue blood are the horse shoe crab & octopus, the modern form of trilobites, oh and blue blood is copper based(Hemocyanin), red blood(Hemoglobin) is iron based...

The garage at Washington Blvd and Irving Place no longer exists and I don't know the History, but I'll share a few pics that I have:

This place is in Palms CA and it's still in business at the same location, though sometime in the 50's Grandpa sold the business to the family who still runs the place, I'd say it's in good hands.

Can I claim blue blood in reverse, if it could be proved that a many times great uncle of mine, who became a Quaker, is the same Quaker of the same name that landed in N. America a few years later. Then I share an ancestor with Herbert Hoover, but as yet it hasn't been proved and possibly never will be.
