Not sure if the kitties shall get to see it.....the weather looks hot, steamy, and possibly stormy here this weekend.

But for those who are able to see it through clear skies, it promises to be a grand Saturday evening for the lovers of La Luna.

I'll keep an eye on it but it might just be stormy here too.

As I said, it does not look good for the kitties' viewing right now.

If anybody is so inclined, it should provide a grand photo opportunity.

It would be purrfect if somebody can get some nice shots and post them here for those of us who may not be able to witness the event purrsonally.

Meow.

I will be out for the Summer Solstic Party in Santa Barbara, but did anyone notice that the "Supermoon" happens several times a year and that it is not noticiable to the naked eye? Here is the diffrence guys. It's not a spectacular event. Check you local tide pools. That is were the impact is most visable.

Hi There
my name is Dave.I live on a small island on the inside passage of B.C.
Around 135 miles from Vancouver, the sky is starting to clear.
Any idea when the moon will rise here

Thank You
Dave

It was up here at around 21:30 in
central Alberta. It is up here now
but the best time to shoot it was
lost in cloud.

No luck for the kitties here...
Started to cloud over and rain just about when the moon started coming up over the horizon. It was very big and tinted orange from the haze before it became obscured by the clouds.

Looks like it's gonna rain all night long.
