How can we run more than 1 wu at a time with stock?
My gpu’ s run at 60% when one with v7.

Did that and all wu’s trashed.
Now manager don’t ask for wu’s even there is none.
Anyone has it done for 2 wu’s at a time?
Please post it.

That's right, V7 includes autocorrelation processing, so is a replacement.

I'll have to leave the new custom appinfo mods to someone who's looked at those details.

... I tried the new cuda32 app a while ago, x41g was slightly faster. Seems I don't have that option anymore.

Assuming you performed the comparisons on V6, Can I have your data please? (perhaps in a dedicated thread). With equal angle ranges that shouldn't be the case on V6, so I'm happy to examine specific data. Depending on a number of factors, zc Cuda 2.3 should be the fastest for that 8800 by some margin. That's by V6, while under v7 zc would wipe the floor with g

It was weeks ago, maybe months. I think it was about 15 seconds difference on a 4 minute shorty. The longer ones were pretty close to equal. I think it was with a different driver also, I'm using 266.58 now. If I can't receive anymore cuda tasks, I'll end up conscripting a few CPU APs to run on the 8800 to hold me over. I'd rather be running cuda tasks on the card.

I just downloaded the x41zc_Win32_cuda23 package from arkayns' site. I'll be giving it a go shortly...

Looks like the Server Status page is now showing v7 data. Ready to send at 350k, only 600k out in field, etc. on the 17:00 UTC update.

Thanks for the assistance. I removed app_config.xml and I do see v7 WUs downloading now, but it looks like not all of the v7 code will download (invalid host name) so nothing is running, although I do now have lots of v7 WUs waiting.

How can a bunch of WUs make it down but not the code?

We believe Eric is using coral cache to distribute the apps. Some people seem to have problems with that.
Richard was going to look into alternate downloads but is currently working his a** off to get the installer done till Monday.

Well I'll give it a try again.

OK IT WORKED THIS TIME after again hanging at the fft library for one retry period.

First time
It downloaded 100 tasks on the initial download everything downloaded ok till I got to the last two tasks and the fft library. fft library was in retry.

Aborted the last two tasks as they would not go into retry

Retried the fft library about 100 times before trying to abort it. DNS prob

Man that was a Bigtime mistake!!!

All my 100 tasks went into failed status, then tried an update and all the new 100 were failed immediately.

This is on my AMD/ATI system I had confidence as I first did my Intel Nvidia
system and it went thru perfectly.

Cleared everything and will try now that CoralCrud is disabled.

Eric has said somewhere that the problem with the download of the apps is something to do with the choice of cache on one of the download servers. He's been trying to resolve it, but until that is fixed some of us will be suffering poor downloading of the applications. (I'm glad this mass update is a "once a blue moon" event.)

I also found the old app I had used weeks ago lurking in the oldApp_backup folder, it was Lunatics_x41zb_win32_cuda32.exe. I still have an hour to go on the current AP, then we'll see how x41zc_win32_cuda23 preforms. Downloading the tasks wasn't a problem, it was almost instant;

82 tasks...now I'll never get another ATI AP. I didn't use a Flop setting, most of the 82 have an estimated time of around 1.7 hours.

Now, what to do with my 6850 and those ATI APs that are running out...

When you run into this problem, there's a real easy way around it. Download them through your browser.

No need to stop BOINC, just let it try and retry.
In your browser URL path fill in http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86.exe and hit Enter. Save the file to the Setiathome directory in your BOINC Data directory e.g. c:\programdata\boinc\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu\

Next download http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/setigraphics_7.00_windows_intelx86.exe and do the same as above.

Last get http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/libfftw3f-3-3_upx.dll and save that to the directory.

Next open BOINC Manager->Transfer tab->select the applications and the .dll file and click Retry Now. BOINC will instantly recognize that the files are in already and not try to download them any further.

After finally getting all of the v7 code downloaded, the scheduler shot off a big request for 99 new tasks "for CPU and NVIDIA". Unfortunately, the scheduler only loaded one CUDA task (SETI@home v7 v7.00 (cuda42)) and 98 SETI@Home v7 7.00) tasks.

I have three NVIDIA GPUs, yet only one GPU gets a single task (which it crunched in very short order) and the other two are totally latent. After the single CUDA task completed, all three GPUs are now dead in the water-- while the CPUs slowly grind away on 98 tasks.

Doesn't the scheduler appear to be a bit "unbalanced", or is something mis-configured?

Just received a "cuda_opend_100" AP work unit on the box that houses the GTX295s. How do I stop AP from landing on this box in v7 ??

Same way as always - deselect AP in preferences.

There's no AP v7 - still at v6 for that app.
