Wow I didn't know beer could be made of such ingredients, pretty insubstantial...

So are we saying That Landlord is OK or no good?

I can not say, here the Manager is good, the landlord? I can't say. Yeah I know it's not the same, I don't know about that beer, it probably is, so I won't judge a book by its cover.

I think Vic is trying to be polite - he doesn't think he'll like it because he's never had a decent pint of real English ale, served at the correct temperature, while watching cricket on the village green on a summer Saturday afternoon...

Actually I've never had any ale, I still can't say anything good or bad about a drink, since I've not tried it at least once. All I can say is that I don't like liver, that I know for sure.

I can also say I don't like liver. And while I, likewise, have never had an ale served as described, I do know that what American beer I have tasted, I detested. Therefore, I doubt I would like your ale either. Don't try to tell me that if I tried a really good one I'd like it. I'm 99.9% sure I wouldn't.

I also don't like tomatoes (except when heavily processed into pizza sauce), unpickled cucumbers, and mushrooms.

I've been reading all the likes and dislikes here and can say that there is nothing I have tried that I actively dislike, I like liver, haggis, black pudding, fried squid, sushi. I hated mushrooms as a kid, but strangely love them now! I like ale, real or otherwise, preferably server chilled and without the cricket. Whiskey is my favorite spirit and I drink red wine more often than I should!

So I consider myself lucky that I am able to appreciate a wide selection of food and drink.

All typed while on my second pint of Newcastle Brown.

Cheers
