That kitty cat does not look amused, Vic!

Kitties never look amused, their hunters, serious ones...

A big 10-4 on that one!!!

Our cats are hoping for live baby chicks in their Easter baskets.

They will be disappointed...

Of course not, Grace likes chicken and turkey, she's rather turned off at fish for some reason.

In the light of Easter comfort, would you employ this lot?

Lets all email Sue and tell her what we think!

First, let's find out where they remove the raccoons TO.
Hoping it is a relocation service rather than an eradication service...

They are listed as a pest control service, so I doubt they will care much about the fate of the animals once they have been paid. Sadly Raccoons are classified as that in the USA. Angela is a saint.

Yeah Angela is that.

Au contraire, mon enfant.
I'm sure they are most concerned about the fate of the animals in their "care", many pest control companies charge "per tail", so the more tails they present the bigger the bill. So they are most concerned about the fate of their charges. Just not in the same manner as Angela...

Under Toronto bylaws it is illegal for unlicensed people to intentionally kill a raccoon (or any wildlife) in city limits except when the person is in personal danger from the animal. And then be prepared for a long discussion with the bylaw people before they let you off. Licenced pest removal people must remove the wildlife to an approved area outside the city, unless it is injured or rabid. Then they must kill it per a limited list of allowed methods. Removals are billed by the hour, and can run to thousands of dollars.

Yeah they are cute, but they can cause considerable property damage. A few years back my sister and her husband got stuck with $5K+ in repair bills, plus a removal fee, after a family of raccoons moved into their attic. Their house insurance declined to pay ANY of it, because they waited too long to hire a removal guy.

Yes, my little woodland friends are justifiably classified as "pests" and I completely understand why sane people really don't want them around.

One of my aunts also had a mama raccoon decide that my aunt's attic made a perfect nursery. My aunt hired a removal company that allegedly specialized in "relocation". A couple of employees came out and somehow managed to catch or trap the mama and her babies, remove them from the attic, and then nail up some sort of sturdy metal grating structure over the place where the mama raccoon had managed to get in.

Well, the "relocation" must not have been farther than the canyon in back of my aunt's house because about two nights later the metal grating was off the hole and the mama raccoon had moved all of her babies right back to where she thought they should be! Raccoon mamas can be very determined creatures.

My aunt hired a different company for round two and I am sorry to report that "relocation" was not in the title of the second company.

Sigh...

Challenge!

Well, I'm sane, and I do care very much what happens. You don't have to be crazy to care about Raccoons. Anyone want to argue?

I was talking about those who don't care Chris, We're all sane animal lovers here.
