While we're waiting for John's return, I took the liberty of opening a brand new cafe where I'm sure he, and all of us, will feel at home soon.
The bar is open and the Kola's are here to take your order.
Cheers:)

At least we know John will show up long before Godot! :-)

No question about that.

Err, is this a new group of Koala, trained by Monday - looks as if things are going to be good in her :-)

Thanks Julie - I'm sure John will approve of the décor, and the collection of ales

We might, but maybe we will leave it, or perhaps....

I need an ale, a sandwich and some sleep.

Now where's John's subdued light corner with those nice comfy chairs

Did someone get some inflatable chairs for the pool out back? Cool :)

On a cold night like we've been having, that comfy chair should be close to the fireplace. Yes, a hot meal, a cold beer, a comfy chair by a warm fire...... and good friends. Life is good.......

I used to make campfires in the garden. The kids just loved it! But over here I'm not allowed to do that, pity...

For those that get lost, and can't find that favourite location to sit and sup, stand and chat, or what ever.

Julie informs men that during the refurb some parts of the interior were rotated by 37.5deg clockwise, other parts by 17.75 deg anti-clockwise -this was to gain space for the enlarged general seating and standing area, and the additional features that will be unveiled over the coming weeks.

That was the previous lot of Koala (second batch), this current lot have only just signed on the dotted line for an appropriate remuneration. Some of this batch look very much like those in the first batch, you remember the ones that were so efficient they knew what you were going to drink before you ordered it.
One thing they have requested are a set of "ground free" routes to various parts of the cafe so they can better serve us when the place gets crowded. We will probably need to have some of them in place for John's first night in as it sounds as if it could be "quite a bash".

As for the chocolate fountain - did you hear about the "incident" in it a short time ago??

I have a small metal firepit on the patio under the mulberry trees. It's just right for a few hours on cool spring and fall evenings....
