Aaah, first snow for this winter :)

No, I'm not tired of snow. I'm tired of this dark, wet autumn. Snow makes it so much better :)

Im tired of snow and we havent had any yet. If this is a typical year We can get at least 144 inches. Living near Lake Ontario we get lake effect.

I had a friend once who invited me to Finland to visit his folks while I was in the Army. I am so sorry I didn't but $95 a month then you couldn't go far.

144 inches?

As in total rainfall in winter time or maximum thickness on snow (doubt that)?

For the Sierra Nevada mountains in CA that can happen, some areas like Mammoth can get more though.

Lived right on lake Ontario the back yard was it and I kid you not we got snow 4 to 8 inches a day for 60 days in 76. that's why I got out of New York, never to return to stay. My Dad had 18 feet sitting on the ground. Moved a year later by me. LOL NM Never had to shovel snow again until he died.

Autumn? with all the colors I love like the new England states are so pretty this time of the year. But when old man winter kicks in having to go out and brake the dog off the tree is another.

I like it, the colour of the leaves on the trees makes it seem like you're surrounded by a sunset.

Could be a bit warmer though.

115F is plenty really, I'm glad those temps are gone now, of course now I have to get the needle and thread and sew on a couple of buttons on a jacket...

Hay I was in Phoenix back in the late 80's and it 122 F thought I was going to die and to top it off the air goes out on the car and I had to 35 miles yet? One gallon of ice tea was on order. I kid you not I must have lost 5 pounds of water weight that day.

My feet start to grow when is starts to snow. By the time drifts are the norm my feet look like snow shooes, but getting waterproof covers is impossible that's why my feet freeze!
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

It was a 1976 was a funny year, the low that sits over Hudson bay move south down near Lake Ontario and just sat there. Good thing I was off of work I couldn't have made it anyway. So from Dec.76 to late Jan. 77 we was socked in, High winds and darn cold too. winds were 65 MPH and - 26F a lot of times.
